Classics make the future

The earliest defined definition of the word classic, the earliest exact Chinese, is difficult to find. Mr. Zhu Ziqing believes in the "Classic Talks" that the classics are the masters of the subset of the history of the classics. In fact, in ancient China, in Western countries, the words that people used more were still classical. Because classical gives people the feeling of antique and old-fashioned, it is renamed classic. In contemporary times, all the best works in the field of culture can be called classics. What distinguishes classics from popularity is that they are profound in connotation, thought-provoking, and even more noble.

The famous Italian writer Calvino has given 12 definitions of classics, which can be called the most "classic" classic definitions. The so-called classics do not fade with the passage of time, but invite time to be its witnesses. Under the impact of time, some things drift with the waves, gradually blurring, fading in our memories, until they disappear; Something chops the waves, slowly becomes clear in our minds, becomes a habit, a way, or a life, passed down from generation to generation.

Classics make the future

A classic can be a book, a movie, a piece of music, a picture, a phrase, a symbol, or even a living person or a person in a story, or a thing itself. In short, classics – styles that stand the test of history, are proven by tradition, and evolve with the times over time. What is fashionable is not necessarily classic, and what is classic must be fashionable. Classics may not belong to the popularity of the times, but they must be eternal transmission, through history, and gradually become models.

The French writer Ingloa has a wonderful passage about the classics: "Believe in the choices of your predecessors." One man may misread it, a generation may misread it, and the whole of humanity will not be wrong. "Classics have been unearthed by many people over many years, and its ideology and artistry can withstand the scrutiny of the times and can withstand the public's appreciation."

Don't easily say that you haven't touched many classics, or that you can't understand the classics. In fact, most people have more or less traveled or are swimming in the classics. Chewing classics, shallow has shallow, deep has deep understanding, the profound thought is broad, the art is rich and colorful, it is inexhaustible. One more classic, one more window, one more world, one more space, so that life is more expansive.

Classics make the future

Fortunately:

We are in a country that has never lacked classics. The sentiment of the ancient Chinese sages on the road, the courage to break new ground, the introduction of new traditions, and the inclusive mind have created a cultural miracle that has been passed down through the ages and has been endless. There are six sutras that note me, and there are six sutras that I note. It is from the classics that are most suitable for us that we gain knowledge, open our minds, adjust our minds and bodies, and let ourselves continue to grow and grow.

We are in an era where there is no shortage of classics. The fusion of East and West, the integration of cultures, and the collision of concepts give us the opportunity to contact more classics. Rodin's "thinker", Shakespeare's "Four Tragedies", Kotler's marketing theory... Fortunate to meet the classics, to understand the classics, there are many philosophical enlightenments.

Unfortunately:

We are facing the exhaustion of classical originality. The internal and external troubles of modern times have made the Chinese nation almost again and again on the verge of a desperate situation of unsustainable inheritance. In a period of rapid social change, every organization and individual is deeply aware of the pain of the lack of classics, insisting on but afraid of not being able to keep up with the pace of the times, and it is always difficult to find a solid foundation for abandoning. When we read the classics again and again, exploring their meaning and value, it is not so much to get close to the tradition, but rather to understand and explore ourselves through the perspective of tradition. Revisiting the classics of our predecessors and picking up the classics of the West makes us more deeply appreciate the lack of our own classics. A country without its own classics would be a failure, and an era without a classic would be a sad one.

Tang Zhi's "Pan Ming" said: Gou day new, day by day new, and new day by day. In the past, there are classics that the past cannot erase; Today, there is also a wonderful and unlimited stage. "Gentleman's Zee, five generations and cut", while inheriting and learning, we need to create our own classics, brand new classics. The classics are yesterday's, today's, and tomorrow's. Because, we know that only by committing to continuous innovation of classic brands can enterprises achieve a better future! (Moving Cai Yang Sohu Blog2008-01-11)
