The only thing that makes people wonder is that the director of this film, Zhang Fanfan, judging from the films he has directed in the past, has not made outstanding commercial achievements.

Being able to get the "big cake" of "Three-Body Problem" is largely due to Zhang Fanfan's wife Song Chunyu.

In 2010, Song Chunyu, a screenwriter, bought the rights to "The Three-Body Problem" and sold it to Youzu Pictures a few years later.
