Kailash Peak is one of the top ten famous mountains in China and is known as a sacred mountain. It is the main peak of The Ganges, the highest peak in the western section of the Ganges, at an altitude of 6714 meters. The Kailash mountain massif, made up of Neogene gravel, is a steep,conical "pyramid-shaped" mountain with four walls.

Located in Baga Township in the north of Pulan County, Ali Region, western Tibet, with a central location near longitude 81.3° 176′ E and 31° 176′ N, it is one of the four sacred mountains of Tibetan Buddhism and is recognized as the "center of the world" by Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism, Tibetan native religion Bon and ancient Jainism. It was selected by China National Geographic magazine as one of the top ten most beautiful mountains in China.
