Since then, the embassy has successively received more than a dozen requests for help from Taiwan compatriots by telephone, email, and other means, the vast majority of which are related to being forced to engage in online gambling and telecommunications activities, and there have been personal restrictions and even missing contacts.
The Chinese Embassy in Cambodia said that after receiving the information for help, it will start the rescue mechanism as soon as possible, guide the parties, their families or relevant personnel to report to the Cambodian police as soon as possible, and provide the embassy with effective information such as the information of the parties and their location. The Embassy will actively communicate with the local police department and supervise the relevant cases.
