Miss Guyana 2022: Andrea King
The Miss Guyana 2022 pageant took place on August 21, with Andrea King winning the title and being crowned Miss Guyana 2022, where she will represent Guyana in the 71st Miss World contest.
The new Miss Guyana, 25 years old and versatile, also won first place in three sub-competitions, including the Multimedia Challenge, the People's Choice Award and the Head-to-Head (H2H) competition.
Kim is still shocked that she can win the title.

"I feel great, I'm still immersed in the moment. It was a wonderful journey and I'm so happy to be here," Kim said in an interview.
King was born and raised in Georgetown and was one of four children of her parents. In 2006, when she was only 9 years old, she participated with her mother in the prestigious "Mother-Daughter Beauty Contest", and she won the first prize in the junior category.
Kim is currently a project manager at THE GUIANA TELEPHONE and Telegraph Company (GTT) with a degree in Business Administration and Administration. She is now pursuing graduate studies in project management at the National University.

Miss Kim's purposeful beauty project is "Imparting National Financial Knowledge". The early theme is "Understanding Money Before Making Money", which teaches children to have financial literacy.
Kim explained that she believes it is a "missing link" in education in Guyana.
So, with the help of the Bank of Guyana, Kim completed a syllabus to teach financial literacy to primary and secondary school students.
