In 1826, the Frenchman Joseph Nicéphore Nièpce took the earliest surviving photographs in a method that was not perfect at the time.

After Nieppes' death in 1837, his research partner Louis-Jacques-Mandé Daguerre succeeded in inventing a practical photography called Daguel photography, also known as daguerreotype photography.

On August 19, 1839, the French government purchased this patented invention and published it, announcing the birth of photography. This day has become today's "World Photography Day". #街拍中国 #
