In the Georgian city of Batumi, a stray dog became the local star.
The dog's name is Kupata, which means "sausage".
The reason why it is famous is because it learned the truth that "vehicles should give way to pedestrians" without a teacher, and since then he has helped pedestrians cross the road and become a small traffic mediator.
Local residents also found it novel, so they recorded a clip of Kupata's "work".
There was a group of children who wanted to cross the road, and they ran all the way over, facing the vehicle in front of the zebra crossing, signaling the driver to stop:
When the driver stopped, it seemed to feel uneasy again, and slowly returned to guard the children crossing the road with its tail cocked:
Some drivers do not cooperate with its "work", preemptively passing before the children block the road, it is still quite dissatisfied, chasing the tail of other people's cars and running out several steps:
It just followed the children across the road, halfway through, the opposite car came, and it knew how to call a few times to remind...
Just send the children all the way over.
Here, the driver may feel that the pedestrians are far away and drive across the zebra crossing.
Kupata was not happy at this time, chasing the car and keep calling:
Throw people out of the way...
When the car was far away, it seemed to think it was more important to protect pedestrians, and turned back to run in the direction of the zebra crossing:
This time it is still protecting a group of children:
It even walked to the front of the traffic and signaled the driver not to move first...
The white car on the right side of the picture just wanted to move forward a little, and was immediately warned by Kupata.
This car has become a suspicious element in its eyes, and it has been so guarded to confront the white car.
The driver saw that the pedestrians were almost gone, and they were ready to start moving forward.
But Kupata doesn't think so, people have not yet reached the opposite side of the road, how can you let you pass? So the warning began again...
It wasn't until the pedestrians behind them reached the other side of the road safely that it let the white car leave...
Take a video and watch it:
Kupata became known to the public, and a citizen named Beqa Tsinadze set up an Instagram account for it, bringing together Kupata under the lens of a large number of citizens.
Today, it has more than 30,000 followers.
Kupata loves children, and of course, children love it, and the daily routine is to take pictures with them:
Lying down and asking for touch (the ear is a sign marked by the municipal government for stray dogs, which is easy for people to identify, and it is not a big problem):
Kupata's trust in the children is so great that it is just a casual touch...
If you have nothing to do, go to the citizens' homes and visit the door:
According to Beqa Tsinadze, Kupata likes kids because they smell good, and kids love to tickle and touch it, and it worries about their safety.
Perhaps because of this, it spontaneously became a traffic controller.
Because of its excellent "work performance", Kupata has also become the "people's choice":
A bank near its main "place of work" even hired an artist to paint a huge portrait of Kupata on the wall:
Today, Kupata has basically become a local mascot, and fans have spontaneously created several paintings for it:
