Such an evaluation can not be said to be high. So can "Dream Hualu" be called "the new music house of our time"? In the Song Dynasty custom, people usually called the children of the eunuchs "Sheren" or "Sheren", so the market used "Zhou She" to call him.
This Zhou She is an idle class, who does not know the labor of harvesting and the hardships of farming on weekdays, but only knows how to wander around in the tea house liquor store and stay in the wind and moon field.
Thirty years in the wine and meat farm, the flower star illuminated for twenty years. All his life, he did not know the price of firewood and rice, and only spent less money to share wine.
In ancient times, prostitutes were called "flowers", and prostitutes with colorful colors were often called "flower queens". "Flower Star" refers to the luck of the female color. In his opening remarks, Zhou She described his idle life, while being complacent about his enduring peach blossom luck.
On this day, after Zhou She finished taking care of his own business, he was ready to propose to himself. In ancient times, relatives needed matchmakers, so why didn't Zhou She use them? Originally, the person he wanted to marry was a singer and prostitute in Bieliang City called Song Yinzhang ("citation" is a kind of ancient Lefu poetry, such as Li He's "Li Pingzheng Yingyi", "Zhang" refers to a piece of music, "Yingzhang" exactly corresponds to the identity of the prostitute, which shows Guan Hanqing's ingenuity), and the two have known each other before. Song Yinzhang was bent on marrying Zhou She, and Zhou She was also happy to push the boat along the water and marry her through the door. However, Song Yinzhang's mother, Li Shi, did not agree.
Li Shi lost her husband in her early years, and there was only one daughter like Song Yinzhang under her knees, so she cherished it very much, afraid that she would not be unladylike when she met someone:
There is Zhengzhou Zhoushe and the child as a companion, one to marry, one to marry, but the old body lies and is weak, then afraid of suffering for a long time. (Quoted from the original text of Guan Hanqing's miscellaneous drama "Saving the Wind and Dust", the same below)

Zhou She's mouth full of promises:
I didn't dare to bully my eldest sister.
Li Shi saw that Zhou She's attitude was good, so he didn't say anything more, got up and went to Zhang Luo to invite relatives and friends, hold wedding banquets, and other things.
The news that Song Yinzhang was going to marry spread, and one person could not sit still. This person's name is An Xiushi, and he is a scholar. In the play, An Xiushi is written:
Since childhood, he has been accustomed to Confucianism, and has learned to be full of articles, but he cannot forget his love and wine in his life.
Listed as a watchman, this An Xiushi was obviously a person who read the Four Books and Five Classics, but did not follow the teachings of The Sage kong. Why? Listen to me.
Once, Confucius saw Wei Linggong traveling with his wife Nanzi and sighed, "I have not seen a good person like a lustful person!" It can be seen that Confucius did not have any good feelings for lustful people. He admonished the people: "When you are young, the flesh is undecided, and the abstinence is in color." An Xiushi violated what the sage called the "color ring." Guan Hanqing created a scholar who loves to drink flower wine here, breaking people's stereotypes.
For a long time, people often think that the students are erudite and have good conduct, and they are all sitting in the air, but this is not the case. Most readers are just trying to get a meritorious name, and may not really agree with Confucian values. Therefore, the ancient scholars were often inconsistent in appearance, desperately hungry for power and beauty in their hearts, but on the surface they appeared very indifferent.
In the first episode of "Dream of the Red Chamber", Li Yanzhai once wrote such a criticism to evaluate Jia Yu Village: This ancient is poor and sour, and the color heart is the heaviest. It's a phrase. However, students have never acknowledged this. Yuan Shu wrote "The Biography of Yingying", which ended with an excuse for Zhang Sheng's chaotic and eventual abandonment, slandering Cui Yingying as a "special thing", "a demon", and "not a demon in his body, but a demon in people". Even Mr. Lu Xun could not bear to read it, and commented in the book "History of Chinese Novels": "The last article is too embellished, and it is a bad taste." Or Du Mu was more honest, self-evaluation: "Ten years of a dream of Yangzhou, left the Qinglou Bo fortunate name." It is not surprising to see An Xiushi's behavior in this way. Guan Hanqing has always lived at the bottom of society, presumably commonplace, so he can create such a real image of a scholar.
Gossip is less, the book is back to the truth. The reason for the matter is this: An Xiushi became acquainted with Song Yinzhang, and Song Yinzhang also verbally promised to marry him. At this moment, when he heard that Song Yinzhang wanted to marry Zhou She, how could An Xiushi not panic? From this detail, it can be seen that Song Yinzhang has been waiting for the price and selling, choosing the good and returning home. She probably had a lot of spare tires, and An Xiushi was just one of them. Compared with Zhou She, An Xiushi was just an ordinary student, who had no meritorious name and was far inferior in strength. Song Yinzhang weighed it up and eliminated An Xiushi.
In this regard, An Xiushi was not reconciled, he remembered that a person might be able to help, so he hurried to the door for help.
Who is an so-sil asked for? It was none other than Song Yinzhang's sister Zhao Pan'er. The name "Pan'er" does not mean "hope to have a son". The word "Pan" is a classic of the "Book of Poetry, Wei Feng Shuoren": "Smiling and smiling, beautiful eyes and looking forward to it", its original meaning refers to the black and white of the eyeballs, which is used to describe the woman's eyes are agile and the eye waves are flowing. Guan Hanqing gave the heroine the name "Pan'er", implying that she was gu panshenghui and beautiful.
At this time, Zhao Pan'er was doing needlework at home, heard the sound of calling the door, walked out, opened the door to see that it was An Xiushi, and quipped:
Who I said, it turned out to be my brother-in-law. Where are you going?
Judging from Zhao Pan'er's reaction, Song Yinzhang and An Xiushi were once very close, presumably often going in and out of pairs, and the relationship between the two was probably recognized by relatives and friends. Song Yinzhang suddenly wants to marry Zhou She, reflecting her fickleness as a Woman in the Qinglou.
An Xiushi saw Zhao Pan'er and explained his intentions:
Originally, my aunt ("aunt" is the name of a prostitute) introduced Zhang to marry me, but now she wants to marry Zhou She, and I ask you to persuade him.
Listening to An Xiushi's words, Zhao Pan'er couldn't help but sigh:
Marriage is not easy.
Then, Guan Hanqing used several lyrics in succession to write Zhao Pan'er's inner monologue. He borrowed Zhao Pan'er's mouth to tell the two major dilemmas encountered by ancient women in marriage:
First, it is difficult to understand each other thoroughly before marriage
Second, after marriage, they are in a weak position in family relations
The former causes women to be embarrassed when choosing a mate before marriage:
I think this marriage match, less moments of strength. How can it be expected? How do you know each other? ...... To marry an honest, but afraid of the end of the world is difficult to match; To marry a smart and handsome, but afraid of abandoning each other halfway...
Find an honest man, and I am afraid that he is not worthy of himself; Find a smart and handsome man, and I am afraid that he will change his heart and split his legs. Guan Hanqing vividly portrayed the hesitant mentality of women when choosing a mate here, and it does not feel outdated to read today.
The latter, in turn, leads to women being oppressed by male power after marriage and being tortured by housework:
I think this ordinary female companion who married first, the folded appearance of the ghost, suffered some difficult to say, difficult to tell, idle breath.
What Zhao Pan'er said is not an exaggeration, and many ancient literary works reflect the heavy housework of women after marriage. It is easy to find examples from high school Chinese textbooks.
For example, the poem "Hao" reads: "Three years old as a woman, the room is tired." Sleep at night, and be in a good mood. ”
Another example is Liu Lanzhi's self-complaint in "Peacock Flying Southeast": "The chicken chirps into the weaving, and the night cannot rest." ”
After marriage, the man became the treasurer, but the woman had to sleep at night, take care of all the housework, and often overwhelmed.
So has this changed today?
Answer: Although the form changes, it is not necessarily true.
The Japanese scholar Chizuru Ueno pointed out in his book "Patriarchy and Capitalism" that under the conditions of the market economy, women's domestic work is excluded from market exchange, so it is unpaid labor. Precisely because this kind of housework is unpaid, the market mechanism of price-based means has failed and it is impossible to regulate family relations. At this time, the social ideological mechanism plays a role, through "love", "motherhood" and other words to make women take on household chores, thus creating an asymmetry in the rights of men and women. Obviously, the profiteers of this unpaid labor are only the market and the men in the market.
In addition, Zhao Pan'er also pointed out that it is more difficult for women in the Qinglou to find a good home than ordinary women. Because they can only find a husband among the benefactors they have received. The benefactors who wandered in the wind and moon place were accustomed to seeing each other, thinking that these prostitutes were all playing tricks, and never believed that they were sincere. In this regard, Zhao Pan'er has an extremely clear understanding:
But when he came two or three times, without asking the man for money, he said, "This disciple (referring to the prostitute) is knocking on the door. ”
Here, Zhao Pan'er mentioned that if a prostitute has feelings for the benefactor and does not want his money, the benefactor suspects that the prostitute wants to knock him out. Guan Hanqing wrote here that the feelings of prostitutes are never respected and cannot be trusted, revealing from the details that they are a group of people who have been insulted and damaged.
The choice of mate between men and women is like the exchange of goods, and the key lies in the "double coupling of needs". "The goddess has feelings, but the King of Xiang has no intentions", this kind of unilateral enthusiasm is not enough. The result of "shaving your head and picking a hot head" is "hot face sticking cold ass". Therefore, Zhao Pan'er thought about it and felt that it was no big deal to be single for a lifetime:
I sentenced (considered) these days, I have not had a boy in my life to be very decadent (what is it)!
Although Zhao Pan'er herself is very disappointed in the marriage, she still hopes that her sister Song Yinzhang can have a happy married life. Relatively speaking, she felt that Zhou She's character was inferior to An Xiushi's, so she promised An Xiushi and planned to persuade Song Yingzhang:
Brother-in-law, sit down, and I will persuade him. Persuade to save time, and rejoice in you; Advise not to save time, Hugh troubles.
Zhao Pan'er went to persuade Song Tonzhang. As soon as He Zhi heard An Xiushi's name, Song Yinzhang was annoyed and said:
I married An Xiucai, a good couple to play lotus flowers.
"Lotus Falling" refers to the song sung by beggars when they beg. Song Yinzhang said that if she married An Xiushi, she could only live a hard life with him. From this plot, it can be seen that Song Yinzhang is a person who hates the poor and loves the rich. Of course, this is also understandable, after all, the marriage system itself is profit-seeking and avoiding harm.
Seeing that Song Yingzhang was determined to marry Zhou She, Zhao Pan'er asked:
Sister also, why do you want to marry him?
Song Yingzhang replied:
Then he knows your sister, so he wants to marry him... All year round, in the summer, I have a good night's sleep, and he fanns for your sister; Winter warms up your sister's warm bedding, and your sister rests; But your sister is there, your sister wears that set of clothes, wears that head face, and lifts the collar for your sister, and the whole ring. Only for him to know your sister so much, so I will marry him.
Zhao Pan'er listened to Song Yinzhang's words and couldn't help but feel funny. She saw at a glance that Zhou She was a scumbag wearing a warm man mask, and these warm actions were just deceptive tricks, but women were partial to this set:
Blindly is a false spleen (hypocrisy)! The girl is obsessed with each unconsciousness.
Zhao Pan'er told Song Yinzhang that a scumbag like Zhou She usually has two faces, and when he marries you home, he will definitely show a fierce face:
Marry into his family, and abandon him for half a year... Punch and kick, hit you cry.
Seeing that Song Yingzhang was naturally obsessed and unenlightened, Zhao Pan'er said unceremoniously:
After a long time you suffer, Hugh came to sue me.
Song Yinzhang also-for-tat:
I have that damn sin, and I won't come to accuse you.
Both of them were angry, and it happened that Zhou She brought the next person to give the dowry, and Zhao Pan'er saw him, teased him a few words, and left. An Xiushi, who was waiting outside, listened to Zhao Pan'er say that "it is not a good thing", felt discouraged, and planned to go to Beijing to rush to the examination, but was stopped by Zhao Pan'er:

An Xiu saw the situation and agreed:
According to my aunt, I went to the guest house and settled down.
This detail is a foreshadowing buried by Guan Hanqing, and An Xiu really has to appear in the fourth fold play.

Song Yinzhang married Zhou She and returned to his hometown in Zhengzhou with him. As soon as he entered the door, Zhou She changed his face. Not only was he critical of Song Yingzhang's poor housework, but he also beat her up often. Song Yinzhang was frightened, remembering Zhao Pan'er's previous advice, and was very remorseful in his heart:
If you do not believe in the words of good people, there will be fear. At first, the sister of the Zhao family persuaded me not to believe it, came in the door, and beat me fifty times to kill the stick. There is a Wang Cargo Lang next door to me, he is now going to Bieliang to do business, I will write a letter to carry it, and my mother and the sister of the Zhao family will come to rescue me.
Song Yinzhang's mother, Li Shi, read the letter and was very distressed, and for a moment there was nothing she could do, so she had to run to Zhao Pan'er for help.
When Zhao Pan'er learned of Song Yinzhang's situation, instead of rejoicing, she was provoked into chivalry:
You have done a death and not saved, ashamed to see this peach orchard kill the white horse slaughtering the black cow.
This monologue is Zhao Pan'er borrowing the story of Liu GuanZhang Taoyuan Sanjieyi to remind herself: YiMei has difficulties and cannot see death without saving.
Then, Zhao Pan'er said to Li:
I have two pieces of silver pressed against the quilt, and we both come with the bought hugh (ransom).
Prosperity makes friends, adversity tries them. Seeing that Song Yinzhang was in difficulty, Zhao Pan'er did not say a word and wanted to redeem her from Zhou She with his own private money.
Who knows that Zhou She is an extremely possessive person. He regarded Song Yinzhang as his personal belongings and would rather be beaten to death than divorce his wife. No matter how much silver you spend, Zhou She will not let others redeem Song Yinzhang. Sweet talk before marriage, violent after marriage, Zhou She's image immediately jumped on the paper.
When Zhao Pan'er heard Li Say this, she immediately came up with an idea: seduction. Zhao Pan'er was conceited and beautiful, and thought that Zhou She was a lustful person, and he was allowed to take the bait. Zhou She heard that there was a beautiful woman waiting for him, and he was curious and rushed over. After recognizing it for half a day, I remembered that the person in front of me was Zhao Pan'er. Remembering that she had robbed her of a few words on the day of her marriage, I couldn't help but get angry. Unexpectedly, Zhao Pan'er said a few words but taught Zhou Shehui to be angry and happy:
Zhou She, you sit, you listen to me. When you were in Nanjing, people said zhou she's name, and those who said it with ears and noses were full of noses, but they never saw you. After not seeing Zhou She go home for a long time, Song Yinzhang found the inn and found that he was laughing with Zhao Pan'er, and he was in a hurry, and went to the front and scolded.

It's not you (the title of a prostitute, referring to Zhao Pan'er) here, I'll kill you.
As soon as Zhao Pan'er saw that the atmosphere was almost over, she began to provoke, pretending to be angry and wanted to go back home:
Zhou She, hello Dao'er, you are sitting here, and your daughter-in-law has come to scold me. Idle, stop the car, let's go back.
Zhou She hastened to clarify:
Okay you, please sit. I didn't know he was coming; If I had known he was coming, I would have died.
Zhao Pan'er saw Zhou She say so, and proposed that as long as he divorced Song Yinzhang, she would marry him.
Zhou She was extremely shrewd, and he felt that it was not right to make a calculation. If Zhao Pan'er did not marry him after he had taken a break from Song Yinzhang, wouldn't he be a chicken and egg fighter? Therefore, he asked Zhao Pan'er to make a poisonous oath. Zhao Pan'er did as she was told.
Zhou She saw that Zhao Pan'er was so cheerful, and rushed home, without saying a word, and took a break from Song Yinzhang. Song Yinzhang understood that this was Zhao Pan'er's plan, and sighed:

Zhao Pan'er stepped forward to comfort Song Yinzhang and said:
Sister, Hugh is not afraid, biting is the fake book.
It turned out that Zhao Pan'er had just secretly replaced the real Hugh Book and hidden it.
Zhou She, seeing that a plan had not been achieved, pulled the two men to go to the officials. The three of them came to Yamen together and asked Zhengzhou Shou Li Gongbi to preside over justice.
In the lobby, the evil man of Zhou She filed a complaint first, saying:
It was Zhao Pan'er who designed and mixed with my daughter-in-law Song Yingzhang.
Zhao Pan'er did not hesitate to defend Song Yinzhang and presented the evidence:
Lord, Song Yinzhang had a husband and was forcibly taken as a wife by Zhou She. Yesterday I was with Hugh again.
Li Gongbi looked at the evidence and asked slowly:
Who is his husband?
Zhao Pan'er replied:
It's An Xiucai.
At this time, only someone outside the lobby could be heard beating drums. Li Gongbi ordered his men to bring the wronged people. After a while, a scholar was brought into court by a messenger. The person who came was none other than An Xiushi An Xiucai.
An Xiucai did not come to testify at this time sooner or later, all this was arranged by Zhao Pan'er in advance. When Li Gongbi saw that the evidence was there and the facts of the case were clear, he immediately pronounced the verdict:
Sixty staffs of the Zhou She, and one with the people; Song Yinzhang still returned to An Xiucai as his wife; Zhao Pan'er waited for the Ning family to sit down.

Guan Hanqing's "Save the Wind and Dust" miscellaneous drama, the story is unique, the narrative is concise and bright, and it is a superior work in the meta-miscellaneous drama. The author believes that Zhao Pan'er is an ideal character created by Guan Hanqing. Although the social environment she lives in is not friendly to her, she still tries her best to deal with it. Seeing that the good sister had difficulties, she stepped forward, had a chivalrous spirit, although it was a skirt, it was better than the eyebrows. In addition, she is flexible and thoughtful, quite resourceful, and can be called a female Zhuge Ge, no less than Portia in Shakespeare's "Merchant of Venice".
Therefore, the comment quoted above said that the adaptation of "Dream Hualu" surpassed "Saving the Wind and Dust", and the author did not dare to agree. "Dream Hualu" as a well-produced costume idol drama in recent years, is commendable, but it only stops here. "Dream Hualu" adds many branches and plots to the basis of "Save the Wind and Dust", but it does not go deep into the inner world of the characters like "Save the Wind and Dust" and explore how people live in difficult situations.
