The 2022 (6th) PBIC Youth International Philanthropy Innovation Challenge is co-sponsored by the China-Africa Civil Society chamber of commerce and the United Nations Population Fund, with guidance and support from the African First Lady Development Federation. The PBIC competition actively responds to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals SDGs and is aimed at young people in junior high and high schools (grades 7-12) at home and abroad. Professionals from United Nations agencies in China, non-profit organizations, international communication agencies, universities and research institutions provide guidance to the contestants.

PBIC2022 focuses on items 3 and 5 of the UN Sustainable Development Goals SDGs, namely "Good Health and Well-Being" and "Gender Equality", and selects Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya and Uganda in East Africa as target countries, encouraging young people to be creative and propose realistic solutions with their unique perspectives and innovative thinking, contributing to helping vulnerable local people affected by poverty and disease, especially women and children.

At about 14:00 on the afternoon of the 14th, the finals kicked off, and the top ten teams took the stage in turn. Combining wisdom and creativity, the contestants calmly presented their project plans and future landing plans to the judges, including malaria prevention, diabetes, maternal health care, water purification devices, power supply at health stations, safe sleep, nutritional improvements, and the promotion of gender equality in education, to promote the improvement of public health, medical and educational conditions in Africa.

During the Q&A session, the contestants answered the all-English questions of the judges, showing the rich knowledge reserves and enthusiasm of Chinese teenagers to promote sustainable development and participate in global governance.

In the ensuing matchmaking session, the participating teams asked each other questions in groups of two teams and had a wonderful debate. The players' minds collided with each other online, bursting out "extraordinary" inspiration and sparks, pushing the atmosphere of the game to a climax.

After two rounds of fierce competition, Hidden Power, HAWK-TE and MisSteam won the first prize, the second prize and the third place respectively, and the organizers and judges presented awards to the winning teams in turn.

Adhering to the concept of "Innovative Practice, Public Welfare Africa" and the theme of "Benefiting Africa and Helping Africa, Health to the Future", this competition contributes to improving the health and well-being of women and children affected by diseases in Africa, aiming to encourage more Chinese teenagers to embrace the international world, look at the world, cultivate youth leadership and competence, promote people-to-people and people-to-people exchanges between China and Africa, and make due contributions to the country and the world.

As a showcase and incubation platform for non-international public welfare projects, the PBIC Competition has reached its sixth anniversary since its inaugural edition in 2017. The six competitions attracted more than 1,800 middle school students from more than 480 schools at home and abroad, and as of the finals, they have attracted more than 71 million attention. Among them, projects such as "Love Music Classroom", "Drone", "Vaccine Ice Bucket" and "Mother and Baby Blocking" have landed in African countries such as Malawi, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Angola and Ethiopia.
