On August 12, the Cambodian Ministry of National Defense released a message on social media confirming that on August 11, local time, the Chinese and Cambodian military held a delivery ceremony at the Royal Cambodian Army Artillery Command, and Cambodia officially received a series of artillery equipment aided by China. According to the briefing of the Cambodian Ministry of Defense, representatives of the Chinese and Cambodian militaries attended the ceremony and signed a series of delivery agreements.

From photos released by the Cambodian Ministry of Defense, Cambodia showed at least 5 AR-2 long-range rocket launchers. The Cambodian military did not disclose the number of artillery weapons obtained from China, but the local media "Cambodia Express" reported on May 28 that the Cambodian Army had purchased at least 60 SH-1 self-propelled guns and 12 AR-2 rocket launchers. After the completion of this round of renewal, cambodian artillery will become a relatively modern force among Southeast Asian countries.

The AR-2 long-range rocket artillery system developed by China North Industries Corporation for the international market can be regarded as a foreign trade version of the mainland PHL-03 rocket. This type of rocket artillery can be compatible with the mainland's foreign trade export type 300 mm rocket, and its range can reach 140 kilometers when firing the Dragon 140 guided rocket. Previously, the rocket launcher was exported to Ethiopia and other countries. This type of rocket artillery is also the most powerful long-range artillery force in Southeast Asia.

The Cambodian Ministry of Defense released a news on May 28 that Cambodia's vice minister of defense and other military leaders inspected some of the new artillery systems recently installed by the Royal Cambodian Army Artillery Command on the same day, including the SH-1 155 mm 52-caliber wheeled self-propelled self-propelled gun produced by China's Northern Industry, the 90B 122-mm wheeled self-propelled rocket launcher and the AR-2 long-range rocket launcher. In addition to artillery, the Royal Cambodian Army also purchased supporting Wanshan series loading vehicles, Shaanxi Automobile series trucks and Dongfeng Maverick armored vehicles.

Regarding the military cooperation between China and Cambodia, Zhao Lijian, spokesman of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, previously stated that China and Cambodia are comprehensive strategic cooperative partners, and the cooperation between the two countries in various fields is open, transparent, reasonable and legitimate. This not only benefits the two countries and their peoples, but also sets an example for building a new type of international relations and a community with a shared future for mankind.
