The 1960s. Due to the construction of the Xin'an River Reservoir, Chun'an County in Zhejiang Province exported a large number of Chun'an immigrants, one of which moved to Fuliang County, Jiangxi Province, and became a "new Hakka". Hanxi Village is a group of pure immigrant villages that migrated from Weiping Town, Chun'an County to Hanxi Village in Zangwan Township.
At that time, the immigrant village was still a barren primitive mountain forest, without any basic living facilities. Migrants only carried basic daily necessities with them and relocated here, living in their own temporary thatched huts, from scratch, little by little to open up the land, plant tea, experience the village people for decades of hard work, the barren mountains have become today's tea gardens.
This year, "Art in Fuliang" and the people of Hanxi Village jointly created the "Xiwang Festival", a folk festival, aiming to celebrate the immigrant spirit and hard work of the locals, and also through this opportunity to radiate this "Xiwang" to more people who come to this land.
It is reported that on August 13, the organizer will open up a temporary villager quota for tourists who come to the art festival, and tourists can register through the small program in the "Art in Fuliang" public account. During the event, visitors can enjoy dragon dances and theatrical performances brought by villagers; Enjoy a village feast with the villagers, taste the local cuisine, and feel the local atmosphere; At the "Xiwang Festival Tilan Market", see the villagers' homemade agricultural products, as well as the good things brought by artists from all over the world; When night falls, Ma Yansong's work "The Lamp of the Earth", located at the highest point of the Tea Mountain, will be lit again, bringing a warm and profound ending to the Xiwang Festival with a fireworks show.

According to the organizers, in addition to the celebrations on August 13, "Art in Fuliang 2022" has also opened on July 25 and will last until October 25. On the basis of the existing 18 works of art, this exhibition adds new creations by several young artists of the "Huayuan Art Residency Program".
For example, in the work "Sunshine", the author Gan Yingying took inspiration from the "bamboo" and "tea" of the villagers' daily life, and through the ancient method of blue sun photography, the fresh tea leaves and dried tea leaves, as well as the old objects of the villagers' homes, formed a concentric circle, and made blue sun on an old cloth, which is not only the process of gradual drying of tea leaves, but also symbolizes the process of the sun radiating everything, and the traces left by tea leaves are like flames, more like the corona.

Multimedia artist Mafmadmaf brought his work "Atriantis II" this year. Inspired by the scene of the villagers working in the rice field, he injected a black ball representing "water" (the representative color of water in the five elements) into the green brick house, and the whole residence seemed to be invaded by "water", but at the same time, people also buried the current life thoughts in the "water". Water is also the liquid nutrient that nourishes life after immigration.

The work "Under the Eaves" reflects the situation in which nature and the countryside intervene and immerse each other. There are often swallows nesting under the eaves of the houses here, and a large number of birds will gather in the trees, roofs and other heights of the village, and there will be intermittent birdsong. The local population has obviously become accustomed to this, as a part of life. Therefore, the author Shi Ziyuan used wood, metal and other materials to make a sound device that triggered a "twittering sound", creating a "supernatural" strange audiovisual picture that was different from people's daily lives through audiovisual differences. I hope to prompt the audience to re-examine their own surroundings and recall their sensitivity to nature.

During the festival, "The BookAND" brought together these stories into a special exhibition of "Love Letters to Spring", turning these expectations and vigorous vitality stored in spring into beautiful energy to accompany everyone to walk in the next four seasons. Ciireals, an art studio from Jingdezhen, also brought his own ceramic works, hoping to convey more relaxed and pleasant feelings to everyone through plants and mud.
