However, Li Song, who has only just passed the age of establishment, has the outstanding ability and rich experience of not losing "appearance": he has achieved excellent results since childhood, was admitted to the 8-year clinical medicine major of the Second Military Medical University in 2007, and in 2018, as a member of the "Chinese People's Liberation Army Assistance Cambodia Wangjiajun General Hospital Medical Team", he went to Cambodia to carry out medical assistance, and is now an orthopedic doctor at the Long March Hospital affiliated to the Naval Military Medical University.
The dual identity made him feel very proud
"My study experience is actually relatively simple." Li Song was gentle and humble, and embarked on the road of practicing medicine, under the influence of her mother, who also studied medicine. Born in the north, he has a yearning for the south. Therefore, when he took the college entrance examination, he filled in the Second Military Medical University in Shanghai. "At that time, I wanted to come to Shanghai to see. I was lucky enough to get in. ”
In 2012, when he graduated from undergraduate, he successfully enlisted in the army and became an honorable soldier. At that time, he took part in the training while studying courses, which was really hard. However, Li Song, who was born in 1989, did not have a trace of squeamishness, always worked hard, self-discipline and self-examination, "This is the experience on the road of growth, since you have chosen this road, you must obey discipline, temper your heart, but also learn professional knowledge, save lives and help the injured, and you can't fall behind." ”
In 2015, after graduating, Li Song immediately entered the Department of Orthopedics of the Long March Hospital Affiliated to the Second Military Medical University, with the main research direction in the field of bone tumors. With the strength of being willing to endure hardships, studying and taking responsibility, Li Song quickly grew into a youth business backbone of the department. He often said that the dual identity of a soldier and a doctor made him feel proud, and it also made him understand the burden on his shoulders: he must adhere to his original intention, concentrate on performing his duties, and serve the people.
The Chinese military doctor put him on a mission
At the beginning of 2018, on the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Cambodia, a heavy responsibility fell on the shoulders of the young Li Song. "Chinese People's Liberation Army To Assist the Medical Team of The Royal Family Army General Hospital in Cambodia" needs a new batch of assistance doctors, and Li Song gladly accepted the order. In early February of that year, he flew with the members of the medical team to Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia. "At the time, I was in neurosurgery and was mainly responsible for mentoring local doctors."
Soon, the local situation made Li Song feel that there was a long way to go. "Medical treatment is a systematic project, the improvement of medical level, the introduction of equipment, the cultivation of talents, the need for considerable capital investment, but also need a long period of accumulation and breakthrough." Cambodia as a whole is underdeveloped, the medical level and equipment are relatively old, and the professional quality of doctors and the medical concepts of the people need to be improved. That is indeed the point of our medical aid team's trip to Cambodia. Li Song said.
In the local area, motorcycles are very common, and citizens like to drive motorcycles on field paths or roads, so the probability of trauma is higher, and many patients treated by medical teams are in this situation.
Li Song recalled that what impressed him the most was a young man who was seriously injured and admitted to the hospital, and gradually recovered after treatment. One day, when Li Song examined him, he said slowly: "You saved my family. (You saved my family)" Those clear eyes stared at Li Song, full of gratitude. Li Song said frankly that as a doctor, the sense of achievement is to alleviate the pain of patients and give new hope to patients through their own efforts. "It would be even better if the disease could be completely cured."
When he first entered the local hospital, Li Song also received a patient who had stiff legs and could not move. Local doctors thought that there was a problem with the patient's lumbar spine. However, after examination, there is nothing unusual about the lumbar spine. Li Song judged empirically that the lesion may be in the cervical spine. After the examination, it was indeed due to cervical spine lesions, which compressed the nerves and caused the legs to be unable to walk. After prompt surgery, the patient recovered well.
There is also a young woman in her 20s who suffers from a more serious spinal deformity, but suffers from no money to treat the disease, and has been struggling. When walking, due to severe waist pain, it is impossible to stand up straight. Later, the medical team was found, Li Song gave her corrective surgery in time, the healing effect was very good, the symptoms were significantly alleviated, and the girl in her 20s finally had a normal life.
"This experience in Cambodia has given me experience and accumulated a lot of valuable experience. Saving lives and helping the injured knows no borders, and we have come here thousands of miles to help them, to inherit and carry forward international humanitarianism. Li Song said.
Busy and fulfilling, harvest more touching
Soon after returning to China, Li Song also ushered in his own life events and formed his own small family. Today, he is not only a doctor, a soldier, but also a husband and father, saving lives and helping the injured, not only his mission as a doctor, but also his deep reverence for life and the protection of every family. Research, teaching, surgery... Although the daily work is very busy, Li Song feels very fulfilled, he has made efforts, and he has gained many touching moments. The wife also understands her husband's mission and responsibilities and has been silently supporting him behind his back.
When it comes to her family, Li Song is filled with happy emotions; When it comes to patients, Li Song's eyes also flash a soft light. In his view, as an active soldier, he has more obligations and responsibilities to save more people, stimulate the tenacious fighting spirit of patients, and continue to write the infinite possibilities of life.
He said: "Saving lives and helping the injured is my greatest sense of accomplishment. ”
