The Grey Forest Plover is a small bird of the family Grematidae and the genus Lithophalus. The upperparts of males are dark grey with black-brown longitudinal stripes, and the upperparts of females are reddish-brown with black longitudinal stripes.
It is a resident bird found in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, India, the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Thailand, Vietnam and Japan.
The grey forest bird has been listed on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species in 2012. In Tibet, I feel that there are more birds than sparrows.
