Comb. Verweij-de Haan has once again achieved a great international result and discovered a new top class breeder, the Red Roses!
Looking back on the 2022 season, Peter and Michel are very satisfied. So far, they have achieved some excellent results and top prizes. Among these achievements are some details that deserve attention. For example, the first pigeon to finish the bell in four international races is a descendant of their new star breeder, Red Rose. Although in Pau, Jessie Rose, the straight daughter of Red Rose, and Miss Milos, a full sister of 1 pigeon, returned at the same time. The latter strikes the clock 1 second in advance. Another amazing fact is that in all 4 races, they finished the second pigeon in 6 minutes. It wasn't easy because there were 2 races that were extremely tough, namely Barcelona and San Vicent.
Here are the first 2 bell pigeons and the timing of the first 4 races:
Pau 907 km: 119 (19.33.35), 120 (19.33.36) 120 "Jessie Rose"
Agen (old and yearlings) 969 km: 8th (18.56.08), 16th (19.03.05) 8th Milos Rosie

St. Vincent 1063 km: 10th (09.22.11), 13th (09.28.55) 10th "Jessie Rose"
As mentioned earlier, the first pigeons in all four races are the descendants of Red Rose.
The hen "Jessie Rose" returned home first twice. She won a 10th Nat. 2,308 p. in Saint-Vincent and a 120th Nat. 4,891 p. in Pau at the same time as her loft pigeons. "Jessie Rose" is from "Red Rose" X "Jessie".
"Milos Rosie" (NL21-1068097 Milos Rosie)
This yearling hen won a 8th Nat. Agen 6,174 yearlings and a 2nd prov. 1,185 p. and 53rd International 33,781 p. Milos Rosie is also a straight daughter of Red Ross, and this time the paired hen of Red Ross is the top breeding hen Miss Milos. Miss Milos has bred numerous top class pigeons in Michel and Peter's loft and other lofts.
"Barbara" (NL18-1750807 Barbara)
This year's race in Barcelona was extremely tough, with Barbara finishing 35th nat. 4,482 pigeons. This hen is from Red Rose x Fast Yelle, and it is clear that she is an excellent racing pigeon. She won the Best Pigeon of Perpignan 2020-2021 in the PIPA rankings and in 2019 she finished 18th nationally in the tough Agen.
