The Book of Mountains and Seas, The Fox of the Green Hill

[Zewen]: Three hundred miles to the east is Qingqiu Mountain, the southern slope of the mountain is sunny, there is a lot of jade, and there is a kind of goodness in the mineral mountains of beizheng with a lot of slightly blue pigments, which is shaped like a fox, but has nine tails, cries like a baby crying, will eat people, and people will not be attacked by poisonous heat and evil after eating its flesh.

East Sea Cattle

There is a Liubo Mountain in the East China Sea, which is located 7,000 miles into the sea. There is a beast on the mountain, looking like an ox, with a pale body, no horns on its head, one foot, and it will surely bring wild storms and rain when it enters and exits the water, and the light emitted from its body is like the sun and the moon, and its shouting sound is like thunder, and its name is called 夔. The Yellow Emperor got it, used its Pipong drum, and then beat the drum with the bones of the thunder beast as drumsticks, and the sound could be heard within five hundred miles. The Yellow Emperor then used it to subdue the world.

Ferocious beasts are gluttonous

[Translation] Hook Wu Mountain, the mountain is rich in jade, the bottom of the mountain is rich in steel. There is a beast in the mountains, shaped like the body of a sheep and the face of a man. The eyes grow under the armpits, the teeth are like tiger teeth, the claws are like human feet, and the sound is like a baby crying, the name is roe deer, which can eat people.

[Legend] Gluttony, one of the four fierce beasts of Chinese mythology and legend, one is said to be Xuanyuan vs. Xuan you, Xuan You was beheaded, and its head landed on the ground as a feast. It is also said that Gluttony is one of the nine sons of the "Nine Sons of Dragon Birth". Born gluttonous, see what to eat, and finally be propped to death. Therefore, gluttony is also a symbol of greed.
