In his later years, Emperor Shun's southern tour was actually a southward escape

author:Soldiers who learn from the scriptures

The revenge of killing the father is not the same as heaven!

Around 2026 BC, a generation of Saint Emperor Ren Emperor Shun completed his life, and the historical records record that Emperor Shun reigned for 39 years, and finally died in the wilderness of Cangwu in the Jingman Territory of the Three Miao Kingdom, and was buried in the Nine Doubts Mountain in Jiangnan, called "Lingling".

This can be corroborated by the Wild History "Huainanzi", which reads: "Shun zheng three seedlings, then died Cangwu." This means that the Southern Sanmiao rebellion, Shun's relatives went to conquest, and as a result, he died in Cangwu Mountain.

Historical records of the Jiuling Mountains are said to be centered on Ningyuan County, Yongzhou, Hunan, extending to the entire Xiangjiang River Basin, as well as Guangxi, Guangdong, Hubei and other areas close to Hunan, which were obviously the spheres of influence of the Three Miao Kingdoms and the Fan Kingdoms before the ancient Pre-Qin Dynasty, and there are various legends about Shun's burial in the Jiuling Mountains in the area, and its tradition is very ancient.

Successive Chinese dynasties also recognized Emperor Shun's mausoleum at The Nine Ridges Mountain and constantly sent officials to sacrifice. The Classic of Mountains and Seas, the Book of Rites, and Sima Qian, Liu Xiang, Ban Gu, Wang Chong, and others all record that Emperor Shun was buried at Mount Jiuling or Cangwu after his death.

In particular, Qu Yuan, a noble prince of the Warring States of Chu, said in his poems such as "Lady Xiang" and "Leaving Sorrows": "Jiyuan Xiangnan March, on the basis of heavy Hua and statement." "The nine ridges are colorful and greeted, and the spirits come like clouds." It clearly pointed out the nostalgia of Empress Dowager Ying's second concubine for Shun's burial of JiuLing.

However, there are many opinions about Emperor Shun's descendants, and many scholars advocate "conspiracy theories", believing that Shun was forced to die by Yu. For example, Han Fei at the end of the Warring States period, in his book "Han Feizi And Doubts", bluntly said that the reason why Shun and Yu were able to inherit the throne was the result of "subjects to the king", saying: "Shun forced Yao, Yu forced Shun, Tang Fangjie, Wu Wang, these four kings, people subjects to their kings also." According to this theory, Shun was forced to abdicate by Yu, and was imprisoned in Cangwu and died in Cangwu.

Of course, this is not the astonishing ink of Han Fei's family's words, and Liu Zhiji of the Tang Dynasty also quoted the "Jizuka Trivia" in his book "Stone" and said: "Shun died for Yu to rush to Cangwu."

The author also believes that it is more likely that a generation of Renjun Saint Emperor Shun was forced to die by Yu, and the specific reasons are slowly explained by me. Everyone knows that after Emperor Shun ascended the throne, he humbly accepted advice, punished adulterers, exiled the four murderers (Gonggong, Badger, Sanmiao, and Cang), enabled ren xian to enable him, and prospered in all industries, creating a situation in which the government was in harmony with people.

The golden jade is defeated outside! On the surface, during Emperor Shun's reign, there was a great situation of political communication and people, but behind it, it was because Emperor Shun was so happy and meritorious that he used troops for many years to the outside world, such as punishing some wars of the four evil conspirators, badger pockets, three miao, and cang, resulting in the people's lack of livelihood, complaints, and empty treasury.

In particular, in his later years, Emperor Shun actually devoted all his strength to the three Miao kingdoms far away in the Jingman area (now Hunan, Hubei), with the purpose of killing Dan zhu, the son of Emperor Yao, who felt that he was hindering the legitimacy of his throne, and although he finally returned home victoriously, the end was that the power fell into the hands of the water hero Dayu.

"Take advantage of your illness and kill you!" After many years of dormancy, Dayu, who was burdened with a bloody vendetta, finally waited for the opportunity to avenge his father's revenge, and not only took the opportunity to grasp the military and political power of the Yanhuang tribe at that time, but also appointed his own cronies into various key departments of the central government in the name of Emperor Shun, such as recommending that he abandon his post as Hou Ji and take charge of agriculture; Recommend deeds as Situ and promote indoctrination; Recommend Gao Tao as a "scholar" and take charge of criminal law; Recommend That you serve as a "co-worker" and take charge of hundreds of workers; Recommend Yi as "Yu", in charge of the mountains and forests; Recommend Bo Yi as "Rank Sect" and preside over the ceremonies; Recommended as a music officer, in charge of music and education; Recommend the dragon as a "NaYan", responsible for issuing orders and collecting opinions.

At the same time, he also formed gangs to crack down on dissidents, preparing to give Emperor Shun a grand gift of palace coup on the day of his triumphant return to the dynasty. Unfortunately, people are not as good as heaven, and Dayu's revenge plan ruyi abacus is inadvertently leaked. As a result, Emperor Shun, who was on his way back to the imperial court, was forced to flee south to the land of Sanmiao.

The revenge of killing the father is not the same as heaven! After learning the news of Emperor Shun's flight to the south, Dayu, who was not willing to be ruined by years of painstaking management, immediately secretly contacted the Fan forces and the Sanmiao forces in the Jingman area, which were then located in the chu-e territory, and assassinated Emperor Shun, who had fled south halfway.

In fact, at this time, Dayu was more worried or afraid that Emperor Shun would contact the old department to make a comeback, and then he and his clan would not only fall into the same fate as his father, but even the Nine Tribes would never be able to turn over.

According to Dayu's vision, he had already mastered the overall situation in the middle of the country, and there were also the far-flung Fan Kingdom and the Three Miao Kingdoms as echoes, just as the so-called everything was ready only to owe Emperor Shun to return to the west, the east wind was blowing, and the world was in his pocket.

However, at this time and another time, Dayu could not have imagined that Emperor Shun's southern expedition to Sanmiao had adopted a policy of attacking the city for several years, not only using virtue education to indoctrinate the sanmiao people who surrendered, but also teaching them a large number of survival techniques such as planting, breeding, and handicraft in the Central Plains. Therefore, it is understandable here why Emperor Shun chose to flee south to the Jingman area at the time of his life and death.

In the imperial city for a long time waiting for Emperor Shun's triumph, the various princes began to talk about it, and some even proposed to send someone to inquire about the news in the middle of the way to see what was going on, in order to calm the speculation and doubts of the people, Dayu used the excuse of falsely transmitting the holy oracle to the outside world that Emperor Shun's southern tour was not thinking about it.

Originally, according to Emperor Shun's prestige and style of conduct, if he really had to flee south to jingman to catch his breath, he would definitely tell the princes of the world to raise troops to serve the king, but when Emperor Shun fled to the foot of the Nine Ridges Mountain in Ningyuan County, Hunan, because of his anger and attack, coupled with the recurrence of various old diseases in his old age, he did not expect to catch his breath and completely finish playing.

According to Emperor Shun's grand plan to sweep the world, he was thinking of clearing the obstacles on the imperial road for the sons of his successors before he drove the crane west, and it was expected that a generation of male lords had indeed made wedding clothes for others!

Compared with Dayu's use of the lives of the Jingchu barbarians like grass, the people in the Jingman area were more inclined to give them a fishing favor, and when they learned that Emperor Shun was driving a crane to the west in the Jingbaran land, the people in the Jingchu land spontaneously held a grand funeral for him.

This is also the reason why the first thing Dayu did after he ascended to the throne of imperial power was to destroy the Three Miao Kingdom, of course, this is the last word.
