On August 4, 2022 local time, recently, heavy rainfall occurred in the northern, northwestern and northeastern parts of honshu island in Japan. Precipitation rates in some areas reach 161 mm per hour. More than 107,000 residents in six Japanese prefectures received evacuation orders due to the threat of flooding and landslides. Heavy rains have caused several roads to be blocked by landslides.
