The Pelješac Bridge spans the gulf of Stone in the Adriatic Sea in southern Croatia, connecting the country's mainland with the Peljesac Peninsula. The bridge project is the largest transportation infrastructure construction project since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Croatia, a model project for China, Croatia and the EU to carry out tripartite market cooperation, the first time that a Chinese enterprise has won the bid for an EU fund project, and it is also the largest single project funded by an EU fund undertaken by a Chinese enterprise.
