Tirana, 24 Jul (Xinhua) -- Albanian President Begayi was sworn in in parliament on 24 July for a five-year term.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony on the same day, Begayi said that Albania needs unity more than ever to ensure national vitality. He called for cooperation between political parties, not conflict, and said he would support and respect the work of the Government and opposition parties.
Begaj, 55, became chief of staff of the Afghan Armed Forces in July 2020. On June 4 this year, Begay was elected as the new president in the fourth round of presidential elections in the Afghan parliament.
