"Are you a 'post-80s' or a 'post-90s'?" The Beijing News reporter asked after a greeting with Fan Lei. She is not very tall, but she is very tall, with beautiful muscle lines and exudes a sense of athletic beauty.
Online hot searches often appear 30+ or 40+ female stars "state can play", marketing looks and figures still have the feeling of women in their twenties. But Fan Leisu, who went to Beijing to train for the fighting brothers, was facing the sky, had a light posture, did not mind mentioning that he was 44 years old, and his appearance and self-confidence radiated from the inside were enough to "be able to fight".
Such "states" are common in people who exercise all year round, and Fan Lei "never exercised" two and a half years ago. However, once she entered the door to practicing boxing, the joy brought to her was like unscrewing the faucet. Now, Fan Lei has set a small goal - to play a "ticket match" before the age of 45.

Let's go
40-year-old to make up for "physical education class"
With the end of the student era, the synonym for "physical education class" has withdrawn from the stage of many people's lives. A considerable number of people's physical education classes are spent in substitute classes or "touching fish" by teachers of other subjects. Fan Lei almost never actively exercised before the age of 42, until the beginning of 2020, when she found that bone density was low, and doctors recommended "resistance exercise", that is, strength training. For health reasons, Fan Lei bought long-lost sneakers and walked into the gym, "More than forty years old, began to make up for physical education classes." ”
Affected by the epidemic, the gym was closed and she began running. From the first 3 km to half an hour to the completion of her first 10 km run, Fan Lei found that she did not reject sports, and gradually felt fun and wanted to try more projects. She also attended group classes, including martial arts exercises, plus her son practiced children's fighting at the Fighting Brothers Club, which aroused the interest of the "old mother", from picking up and dropping off onlookers to getting started on her own.
Before starting exercise, Fan Lei weighed no more than 100, which belonged to the "eating not fat" physique that many people envied. After more than two years of regular training, she gained seven or eight kilograms, but her body fat rate was properly controlled, and the "vest line" was clearly visible. "Exercise has also changed my aesthetic, and now I don't pursue slenderness too much, because a strong, easy-to-use body makes me more confident and happy than a thin body." Compared with the popular "A4 waist" and "comic legs", she is more concerned about the muscles that sweat cannot be easily lost, because the muscle content can represent strength, speed and healthier, "these are all part of you." Different from the appearance under the beautiful skirt and cosmetic packaging, such a Fan Lei is confident even if she faces the camera with a plain face.
Equally unconcealed is happiness. She describes mood changes in a line chart: buying luxury goods, waiting all the way up, reaching the apex when she gets her hands, and then starting to go downhill until the freshness is lost and the lines fall off a cliff. The happiness brought by exercise can continue to rise, there will always be a next high point to hit, and the body can continue to benefit.
Before the age of 42, Fan Lei was a person who "wore high heels to go shopping". Now, they have been lying quietly in the corner for a long time. "I would tell girls I know that the sooner you start exercising, the sooner you benefit."

Before the age of 45, I want to play a "ticket match"
In the summer of 2020, as a beginner in boxing, Fan Lei took classes once a week to practice basic movements. Accidentally saw a few girls on the social platform sent training and competition videos, she felt that they played very well, so she asked in a private message, and learned that the other party has been training for five or six years, three to four times a week. Fan Lei was inspired, and also had the idea of playing in real combat, supported by coach Yao Zhikui, and increased the frequency of training three or four days a week, from work classes to personal training classes.
From the second year on, Yao Zhikui gave Fan Lei more opportunities to practice, and also simulated different situations; The real start of trying to fight was in the first quarter of this year, from the beginning of the coaching point to the end of the competition with other students, many of whom were men. The unknown opponent began to make Fan Lei feel pressure, but also inspired a stubborn force, "Within the scope of my ability, I hope to work as hard as possible." I'm not athletically gifted, isn't it slower to improve without training harder? ”
Boxing, like many fighting skills, is not just a physical sport, it requires the involvement of the mind, and it is not a thought of in the ring. Wait for the opponent to make a move and then think about how to deal with it, and then make a move, it is likely that it has been blinded by the punches that are connected to the back. So, the boxer wants to merge the body with the mind, "practicing like the body has an idea." "This is Fan Lei's experience. For example, dodging needs to have a fast enough and accurate "subconscious", which is changed with tens of thousands of times of practice, "after practicing thousands of times, you can't do it, because you haven't practiced enough." ”
Once you fight, you won't be satisfied with playing with people in the same club. Fan Lei slowly got to know more boxers, watched amateur exchange matches, and her social circle was expanding. She sighed that there is no shortage of social networks limited to the workplace to "take people by appearance", and even have a strong sense of purpose, but between boxers regardless of age, origin and status, "no one cares that I am the oldest in the whole field, because I play softly in my forties, and everyone's training content is the same." "Even if the skills are inferior, we must go all out," the moment you stand on the field, everyone is the same, pay the same courage, have the willpower, will win respect." ”
Seeing such a "ticket match", Fan Lei sometimes feels that "I can also go on". But she knew that after all, the age was there, the technology was fine, and the physical fitness might not be able to keep up. Rao is so, she still made up her mind: "I have a dream, before the age of 45, I can play a ticket match. "If the timing and her condition are right at the end of the year, she is also very happy."
With this goal, Fan Lei has the direction and motivation to work hard. Pack up on a hot summer day and prepare for meaningful moments in your boxing career.
