Apple on Wednesday released software version 15.6 for the HomePod and HomePod mini. While not mentioned in the release notes, this update adds support for Swedish and Norwegian Siri on the HomePod and HomePod mini.
Support in Sweden and Norway could mean that the HomePod mini will be released in Sweden and Norway in the coming months. At the end of March, Apple released the HomePod mini in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Switzerland, after apple introduced support for Siri in Dutch and various languages spoken in Switzerland.
Apple has also been testing Siri in some HomePod mini users in Denmark and Finland in recent months, so the HomePod mini could eventually launch in Denmark and Finland. However, Danish and Finnish are not yet listed as supported languages.
Launched in November 2020, the HomePod mini is currently available in the United States, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Spain, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Taiwan, Chinese mainland, Austria, Ireland, New Zealand, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands and Switzerland.
