It is one of the important image display points and concentrated experience points of Jinping County's longevity town and natural oxygen bar.
The most amazing thing about the bottom of the saddle is still the butterfly. Up to now, butterfly species have been found in the jurisdiction of Ma'andi Township, and there are more than 320 species of butterfly resources in 11 families other than the Silk Butterfly Family, which is one of the most abundant butterfly resources in the world. Here there are China's rarest golden-spotted beaked butterfly (national treasure butterfly), China's most primitive and ancient stick-tailed beak butterfly (butterfly ancestors, butterfly living fossils), China's smallest long-bellied gray butterfly, China's largest and most beautiful golden phoenix butterfly, China's most cultured Liang Zhu butterfly, China's most numerous arrow ring butterfly. In particular, from May to June every year, the larvae of the arrow ring butterfly are feathered into butterflies after a large number of concentrated pupae in a short period of time, and hundreds of millions of arrow ring butterflies gather in large numbers between trees, streams, and mountain forest paths, forming a beautiful spectacle of biological activities.
"The butterflies of Ma'andi Township have been erupting continuously for more than ten years and have become the loudest business card of Ma'andi Township." Zhao Pingzhi, secretary of the Ma'andi Township Party Committee, said that in order to protect the butterfly as a business card, the local government has adopted various methods to strengthen the publicity of the masses to protect the butterfly and protect the environment, and has promulgated the "Butterfly Valley Protection and Management Regulations", strictly delineating the scope of the butterfly valley's nature reserve, restricting the exploitation and development of butterfly honey sources or host implants, prohibiting villagers from using pesticides and fertilizers that have a large area of lethality against butterflies, and then prohibiting constructive activities in the protected areas. Through a series of protective measures, the growth environment and space of butterflies are guaranteed to the greatest extent possible, and the number of butterfly populations is only increased.
Relying on butterflies, Ma'andi Township has developed an eco-tourism industry for butterfly viewing and a butterfly embroidery specimen and handicraft industry. In the past two years, combined with the title of "hometown of longevity" in Jinping County, a butterfly ecological feast and a longevity feast have been developed. In the past 12 years since it was opened to the public, it has received more than 1.8 million domestic and foreign tourists. "In the next step, we are considering building a butterfly ecological tourism garden and a science popularization garden, through artificial breeding and artificial cultivation, to ensure that butterflies can be seen in other seasons in addition to the great outbreak." Zhao Pingzhi said that by extending the industrial chain of butterflies, the surrounding masses are covered to the greatest extent, so that more people can get more benefits by protecting butterflies and protecting the environment.
