In Romania, there is a remarkable building that is called immortal, and is considered one of the most beautiful castles in the world, which is the Palace of The Peres in the South Carpathian Mountains, 130 kilometers north of the capital Bucharest.

Maybe I'm lonely and strange, I haven't seen a second ancient palace like The Palace of Peles, hidden deep in the mountains and beautiful. Because of it, it becomes a fantastic fairy tale world.

This is thanks to King Carol I, the pure German who made it all.

In April 1866, the former Grand Duke of Romania, Alexandrion Cucha, was overthrown, and the Council of State of the United Kingdom of Romania decided to invite Prince Carroll of Germany to accept the Romanian throne. In this way, Carol came to Bucharest, Romania, and was welcomed by the people and politicians, becoming the first king of Romania.

It may seem strange now that an autonomous country should invite a foreign prince to be its own king, but it really happened in Europe at the time, and it was not the only case.

It is difficult to say a sentence or two about the reason for this, and we don't need to spend much ink here, so let the historian study it.

In 1872, Carroll I invited architects in his native Germany and began to design and build the Palace of Peres, which was later the summer residence of kings and queens.

After years of meticulous construction, the first phase of the project was completed in 1883, and the entire palace was not fully completed until 1914. But on October 10 of the year of completion, King Carroll, who had reigned for 48 years, died at the age of 75. He certainly failed to fully enjoy the luxury and modern comforts of the newly built palace.

This is really the predecessors planted trees, and the posterity cooled off.

A palace that took 42 years to build, with the rigor and seriousness of the Germans, even if it does not want to make it an architectural masterpiece, not to mention that Carol I originally built it as a work of art.

When you walk into this 3,200-square-meter palace, which is hundreds of years old, you will be amazed by its richness, refinement, elegance and luxury everywhere inside and out, and you can personally feel the luxurious life of the royal family and nobles.

Or with my camera lens, let's carefully appreciate and taste the beauty and luxury of The Palace of Peles, I believe it will not disappoint you.

Don't worry, first make a transition to pave the way for the "protagonist" to officially appear.

The town of Sinaia, where the royal palace is located, also has a history of more than 300 years, the town is surrounded by mountains, dense forests, quiet and peaceful, it seems that Carol I chose to build a summer palace in this place is still very eye-catching.

This is the protagonist that everyone is looking forward to--- the summer residence of King Carroll. With a few more lenses, you can enjoy its beauty from different angles.

This typical Gothic style of the royal palace embodies the European neo-Renaissance architectural style, with three tall minarets piercing the sky. In front of the palace is a marble platform with fountains and a variety of stone carvings. Below the platform stands the tall bronze statue of Carol I, holding a cane in his hand, like a general guarding the palace gates.

The palace was nationalized by the Romanian People's Republic in 1947. In Ceausescu's time it was used to receive foreign guests. It is said that the famous foreign dignitaries who were once hosted here included Nixon, Gaddafi and Arafat. After the change of regime in Romania in 1989, the summer palace was converted into a museum. It is said that the descendants of the Romanian royal family in exile have received the palace from the government, but it is still used as a museum for tourists to visit.

King Carroll was the true owner of The Palace of Peres--- although he died a few months before the palace was built, unfortunately he did not enjoy the first palace in Europe that could be centrally powered and heated. But it has left Romania with a valuable cultural heritage.

Take a look at the reliefs on the Roman columns on the exterior of the palace, which are superb and wonderful. Intricately carved decorations like this fill the entire building of the palace. No wonder it took more than forty years to build this palace, and it turned out that people wanted to be "slow work and small work"!

The courtyard around the front and back of the palace is also beautiful, and in addition to trees and flowers, there are many sculptures.

The real highlight of the palace is the 168 rooms inside it, each divided into different cultural themes according to its style and purpose. Only 35 rooms are currently open for visitors to visit, and you have to pay 30 euros to take photos indoors. Go inside and see, my "photo fee" is worth it.

The queen and the princess, of course, are both beautiful women. The king and queen came here every summer after the completion of the first phase of the palace. Unfortunately, their youngest daughter, Princess Maria, died of illness when she was four years old, and the king couple was undoubtedly a heavy blow.

Carol I also had excellent military command skills, and he performed very well in the Battle of Pleven during the Russo-Turkish War, contributing to Romania's complete separation from Turkish rule in 1881 and the complete independence of the country. Therefore, the museum also has a special weapons hall, which contains various German weapons from the 15th to the 16th centuries, as well as ordnance and armor made in India, Persia and Turkey, etc., to commemorate him.

The VIP room where the king met his guests should be the most luxurious room of the summer palace. If anyone else has no intuitive impression of the idiom "golden splendor", then look at this VIP room.

Well, it has made people a little dazzled and dizzy, and then continue to look at people will be nervous, or see the good to receive it!

And this is just the tip of the iceberg in the inner chamber of the summer palace.
