Early life
Sienna Gelley was born in 1975 in Northamptonshire, England. Isaac Guillory, the daughter of American folk guitarist Isaac Guillory and his first wife, British model Tina Thompson, who married in 1973. Gelli's father, of American and Turkish Jewish descent, was born at Guantanamo Naval Base in Cuba.
At the age of two, Gelley's parents moved to London's Fulham, and later to Norfolk when she was 11. At the age of 10, she went to Mexico to stay with her cousins to learn Spanish.
Gailly's parents divorced when he was 14. In 1993, her father married Vickie McMillan and had two children.
Gelli attended Gresham School in Holt, Norfolk, where she attended many school performances. She started riding horses at the age of two, and at the age of 14, she got a horse, which she named "Midnight Gatekeeper", named after the movie Midnight Gatekeeper; Gelley is a fan of the film's heroine.
In December 2000, Gelley's father died of cancer at the age of 53.
Acting career
In 1997, Gelley accompanied a ballet dancer friend to a london modeling agency, where he was quickly photographed and signed. She modeled entirely to support her acting career, and as a model, she has endorsed brands such as Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, Burberry, Paul Smith and has appeared on the cover of several fashion magazines. In 1999, she became the face of a Hugo Boss perfume commercial, succeeding model Karen Ferrari for three years.
After several years as a model, Gilroy returned to acting in 2000. She signed for an independent modeling agency in London.
Dragon Knight, Resident Evil: Apocalypse, New Trojan Slaughter
Perhaps Gelley's best-known role is Jill Valentine in the action horror film Resident Evil series. Following the success of Resident Evil: Revelations, Gelley also starred in other film and television roles, including Beauty (2004), Murder Notice (2005), In the Bathroom (2005), The Virgin Queen (2005), Silence Is You (2005), and Rabbit Fever (2006).
Other prominent characters in Gelli include arya, the elven princess in the fantasy adventure film Dragon Knight, and the protagonist in the TV miniseries New Trojan Slaughter. She has also starred in a number of popular TELEVISION shows, including Snow town, Lucky Ones, and Luther.
