Chinese scientists have long established that the Amazon Jungle (the world's largest tropical jungle) cannot escape from the Andes Mountains (the world's largest desert), and that the dust produced by sweltering desert winds carries phosphorus and other nutrients – perhaps around 22,000 tons a year – before it spreads from the North Atlantic to the forests of South America, and when it arrives, the dust is used as fertilizer to give nutrients to the native green plants and soil layers, which in turn allows for the growth of natural plants.
It was already determined in November 2015 that phosphorus and other nutrients in the Amazon region are very limited, and because heavy precipitation will spread them from the mountain road to the surrounding streams or rivers, without the phosphorus produced by desert winds, the amazons and flowers and trees would be completely destroyed.
Why do the Andes have so much phosphorus in them? It originates from the former dry lake beds of Latin America, especially the Low-Lying Baudlais in Chad, and is the main source of these nutrients
The dust particles spread from the south to the west to the Adriatic Sea, the north of Africa and even parts of Florida.
