From time to time, tourists come to pick the "summer black" like black and red agate, looking at the brittle, green and crystal-like mature "sunshine rose", not only the tourists, but also the person in charge of the "cropper" Zhou Fengpi and his staff, and all the white mao people who are bent on turning the 20,000-mu industrial park into the city's "back garden".
Fruitful, Wuhu to pick very convenient
"Crop Han" currently planted grapes in an area of about 360 acres, more than one-tenth of the grape planting area in the Jiangbei region of Wuhu, of which more than 300 acres are "sunshine roses", and the remaining dozens of acres have planted some "ping-pong" and "summer black" according to market conditions. Despite being the head of the business, Zhou Fengpi and his two sons are busy with the base grape greenhouses as they are on a daily basis. From time to time, he greeted tourists who came to pick them, told everyone which fruits were good, and handed them a hanging for tourists to taste. He said that the "ping-pong" has been picked, and at present, the "summer black" is just in time, in addition to tourists every day, supermarkets and other customers have also come, "old customers and new customers, some are still introduced to each other."
On the day of the reporter's interview, Zhou Fengpi's eldest son was sorting out the grapes that were about to be packed and transported with his bare arms, and it could be seen that one of his feet did not seem to be able to exert much force, and when he asked, he knew that he had accidentally been poked to his feet by the thin wire used for bundling when he was busy in the field two days ago. However, at present, hundreds of acres of "sunshine roses" are about to ripen and be picked, and many tourists come here, and there is no time to rest, and can only insist.
Zhou Fengpi said: "What is this, manhood is fine, in the past 20 years we have not been able to plant grapes smoothly, in the early years we suffered snow disasters, floods and other blows, thanks to the relevant government policies to help, survived." This year I estimate that "Sunshine Rose" can have 1 million pounds of production, do not worry about sales, I also plan to go to the next high-end new varieties, we have investigated, the market welcomes. We also welcome citizens to come to pick, watch everyone happy we are also happy, from the city to our place 40 minutes drive, very convenient. ”
Growing grapes should be "kind to the land" to protect the environment
In the accumulation of many years of experience in grape planting, Zhou Fengpi said: "We must be kind to the land, and good grapes should use organic fertilizers to reassure customers every fruit they eat." Zhou Fengpi introduced that the grape cultivation of "Cropper" basically no longer uses chemical fertilizers, and only uses a very small amount of imported fertilizers when specific needs are needed.
He said that in order to protect the soil, improve the quality of grapes, save and increase yield, "Cropper" has adopted the method of soil testing formula fertilization, "We will test the soil, just like treating people, to see what kind of nutrition the grapes need, rather than blindly fertilizing, so that the grapes are good, the land is also protected, to avoid excessive fertilizer caused by land compaction."
Zhou Fengpi opened a paper sleeve of "Sunshine Rose" and picked a few grapes for everyone to taste. The reporter felt very sweet, but Zhou Fengpi said: "It is not yet time, in a few days, the sweetness can reach the early 20s, it will be more popular." This, he says, is the benefit of fertilization in the soil testing formula, "combined with the lack of rain this year, we gave the grapes calcium supplementation, so the sweetness went up the ladder."
He said: "When I go to various places to guide my experience, I have repeatedly stressed to everyone that we must protect the land, do not rush to achieve quick success, do not pay attention to science, indiscriminate fertilization is not conducive to increasing production, but also spends more money, and it is not good for the ecological environment. ”
The threshold is not low, take care of the family to earn money nearby
Zhou Fengpi was still an entrepreneur in 2003, when he listened to his relatives introduce the grape income, he was determined to create wealth from the land, "My family is a farmer, after finding the direction to return to the land has a natural sense of belonging, a kind of grape is 20 years, there are also some experiences, whether it is wuwei or Nanling and other places, as long as there are growers who need my guidance, I never resign, I can help others grow good grapes like joy."
Zhou Fengpi's "croppers" have made achievements, and have also led to the employment and income of surrounding villagers. Ji Xueqin, director of the Baimao Town Agricultural Service Center, told reporters, "Lao Zhou now pays fixed employees and short-term employees a year with more than 2 million yuan in wages, and many villagers can earn more than 40,000 yuan a year at the doorstep of their homes and take care of their families."
Wang Wenzhong is more than 60 years old this year, he said that he and his wife live in the Sanguandian community, his son and daughter-in-law work in other places, he has also tried to go to the field, "I am not easy to find a job at this age, security, cleaning are barely enough, the income is still low, I am now working in the grape greenhouse, I can get more than 50,000 a year, there is nothing to accompany my wife to bring grandchildren at the door of the house, plant some small dishes, very comfortable." Like Wang Wenzhong, the work threshold of the "cropper" is not high, and the income is not low. If there are middle-aged and elderly women who are willing to do some short-term work of tending and picking, they will earn about 160 yuan a day.
Zhang Hao, the relevant person in charge of Baimao Town, told reporters that there are 20,000 mu of provincial modern agricultural industrial park in Baimao Town, and the "14th Five-Year Plan" of Jiujiang District regards the construction of the provincial modern agricultural industrial park in Baimao Town as the "No. 1 project" for the rural revitalization of Baimao Town.
