Lam Cheng Ying, formerly known as Lin Genbao, was born in Hong Kong on December 27, 1952. He is a Hong Kong artist.

When Lin Zhengying was a child, his family was poor, and his parents helped people pack food for a living. He has six siblings, with Lin Zhengying ranking third. Like his siblings, he studied at Luther Elementary School for two years but later dropped out.

From 1963 to 1964, he joined the Hong Kong Peking Opera Troupe, studying under Pink Chrysanthemum and Yu Zhanyuan. He was trained on the same stage as the members of the Seven FuXiao, Jackie Chan and Hong Jinbao, and was on a par with Zun Long, Hui Tianci, Meng Hai and Dong Wei.

In 1980, The most popular films in Hong Kong were action movies and action comedies. In fact, the rules of various types of movies on the market, the industry has long understood, there are only so many people who can make money.

However, Hong Jinbao had a very bold idea at the time. He wanted to make an action-comedy movie set in a horror movie.

But no one expected that after the film was released, it was unexpectedly successful. In reality, it was released in Taiwan Province, and the box office response was very good, which also gave them hope. Soon after, "Mr. Zombie" was released in Hong Kong, with a box office of 20 million.

Even more unexpected is this achievement. No film of the same genre has broken this record so far.

And all the reasons are because of the young death of that person. He is Lin Zhengying!

In 1980, Lin Zhengying made a cameo appearance in the movie "Man's Ghost Is Gone", which marked the beginning of the Hong Kong magic zombie movie.

In 1985, Lin Zhengying co-starred with Chen Shaohao and Xu Guanying in the magical kung fu film "Mr. Zombie" directed by Liu Guanwei.

In 1986, Lin Zhengying starred in the supernatural zombie movie "Zombie Family".

In 1987, at the height of the limelight, Lin Zhengying starred in a zombie movie "Mr. Fantasy"

In 1988, he played the policeman Hai Ge in the director's action film "Campus Storm".

In 1989, when Hong Kong's traditional Maoshan zombie films were repeatedly imitated and gradually lost their audience, Lin Zhengying integrated Western vampires and zombies into Hong Kong zombie films, and independently directed the fantasy horror film "One Eyebrow Taoist" for the first time.

In 1992, Lin Zhengying produced eight fantasy horror films a year. Among them, Lin Zhengying once again partnered with Siu Haoqin and Xu Guanying to continue to write the magic zombie film "Mr. New Zombie" with the highest box office, but less than 10 million Hong Kong dollars.

The 1980s and 1990s were the heyday of Hong Kong films, and the image of "Uncle Nine" created by Lin Zhengying swept the three places across the Taiwan Strait.

His zombie movies are hilarious and hilarious, making people nervous and relaxed for a while.

In 1985, "Mr. Zombie", starring Lin Zhengying, was released, breaking the 20 million box office of the same type of film for the first time. The film swept across Southeast Asia.

Later, he set off a frenzy of "zombie movies" and became the "exorcist" in the minds of the audience.

If Stephen Chow is the king of comedy after the 80s/90s, then Lin Zhengying is basically the king of zombie movies.

Dressed in a yellow robe, wearing a gossip scarf and holding a peach wood sword, Lin Zhengying is the leader who sets the tone for the basic pattern of ghost hunting and zombie hunting genre movies.

To put it bluntly, it was Lin Zhengying himself who created a type of horror.

Mr. Zombie, Master Zombie, Mr. Exorcist, etc. Lin Zhengying has groped out his own system in the zombie movie dynasty.

Lin Zhengying deserves to be a benchmark of the times because of his zombie Taoist habits and attack methods, as well as the corresponding strategies such as black rice and chicken blood breathing.

In 1997, he was originally planned to shoot "Zombie Daogusan" for ATV again, but at that time he was told that he had liver cancer, so he terminated filming and became his last wish (due to overwork in filming and Lin Zhengying's usual love of drinking, the dual factors led to liver cancer).

On November 8, 1997, Lim Cheng Ying died of advanced liver cancer at St. Teresa's Hospital in Kowloon at the age of 45.

People are gone, leaving only memories!

I think everyone has more or less seen Lin Zhengying's zombie series. It's classic, but it's hard to recreate!
