Old foresters talk about the coexistence of man and nature: "Seamless trust and closeness is the highest realm"

author:Southern Metropolis Daily

One day at the end of June, Hu Shan, a former cadre of the Forestry Bureau of Zhaoqing City, who stepped into the Zhaoqing Beiling Mountain Forest Park as usual, found that a leafless meiguan orchid, a national second-level protected plant hidden in the mountain, had formed a distinct capsule. Subsequently, she excitedly shared the good news with the Nandu reporter.

As a former forester, Hu Shan has a professional sensitivity to the green coverage rate and vegetation population on the mountain, and has a great affection for the forest grass and trees, flowers and birds. For the phenomenon that more and more people are willing to go into nature and get close to nature in the process of continuous advancement of ecological civilization construction, Hu Shan said that this is a good trend, and she also hopes that people will understand and respect nature as much as possible and maintain a harmonious relationship between people and nature.

Guarding rare plants: "At a glance of 10,000 years, this is the leafless crown orchid"

Growing up in the mountains, loving the mountains and being familiar with the things in the mountains, this is Hu Shan's evaluation of herself. During the work of the office of the Zhaoqing Greening Committee, in response to the call of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government to "green Guangdong in ten years, return farmland to forests, and completely eliminate barren mountains", Hu Shan was responsible for collecting the city's voluntary tree planting, progress and data on greening standards, and going to the countryside together with relevant leaders to inspect and accept the greening standards of counties (cities) and form reports on the situation, so she knew the local mountains and forests very well.

Even after retirement, walking in the mountains is still a major hobby of Hu Shan's daily life. "When walking in the mountains, I will observe the surrounding plants while walking, and find a good-looking mobile phone to take a picture." On May 23, when Hu Shan and her husband walked to a certain place in Beiling Mountain, a plant in the forest immediately attracted Hu Shan's attention.

"This flower is brown, and just after the rain, the flowers are crystal clear. Although there are no leaves, and the color of the flowers is almost the same as the location of the standing, I still found out, it is simply a glance of ten thousand years: this is the leafless crown orchid! When recalling the discovery of the leafless Meiguanlan just now, Hu Shan's words revealed excitement from time to time.

"There's an orchid in this environment, and there may be a similar one nearby." According to Hu Shan, the day after the first pillar of leafless Meiguan orchid was discovered, she went to Beiling Mountain again, and about 200 meters around the first leafless Meiguan orchid, she found a large leafless Meiguan orchid blooming. "Because the humus soil is thick, this leafless crown orchid grows a thick and upright stem, an unopened ear of fat wheat, and an open crown lid flying shoulder, beautiful and elegant." Hu Shan said.

Because the leafless Meiguan orchid is a national second-level protected plant, Hu Shan and Mr. Hu Shan and Mr. Hu stood at a very close distance to take pictures with their mobile phones. In order to facilitate the protection of rare orchids, Hu Shan suppressed her excitement and silently completed the record. In addition to sharing with experts in the forestry system, Hu Shan did not reveal the specific location of the leafless crown orchid to others.

"In our Beiling Mountains in Zhaoqing, the population of leafless Meiguan orchid grows freely like grass. I am deeply proud of the good ecology of the local area. According to Hu Shan, the leafless Meiguan orchid is in the form of a single plant upright, and the underground ginger-shaped false bulbs are only used to provide water for flowering, unlike other orchids, where the roots are tillers and sprout new shoots; The only way to reproduce the leafless crown orchid is by pollinating it by an insect called the green ribbon bee to breed seeds, and the pods burst and scatter seeds after maturity, and then attach the appropriate humus to produce a new generation, unearth new flowers, and complete a round of life continuation. This also makes the leafless crown orchid have strict requirements for the environment for growth and reproduction.

Leafless crown orchid has recently formed significant capsules.

However, even though Hu Shan and her husband endured mosquito bites and stayed for a long time to wait for the green ribbon bee to appear, they still found nothing in the end. Although there are slight regrets, Hu Shan believes that this is also a natural phenomenon, "after the blooming period, the green ribbon bee is like Li Bai's poem 'Things are whisked away, deeply hidden and famous', like a hero to complete the pollination task of the leafless Meiguan orchid, but will not easily expose and leave a meritorious name." ”

"The leafless crown orchid is not a high-priced commodity orchid enshrined in the mansions of the rich, and its inclusion in the national second-level protected plant is precisely the non-commodity attribute that it cannot leave the forest and cannot be transplanted." Hu Shan said that the discovery of the leafless Meiguanlan seems to be accidental, but it is not accidental. This is a sign of the good wet ecology of the forestry people who have worked hard for many years to protect the forest.

Become a "Friend of the White Stork": To achieve "near the water to know the fish, near the mountain to know the sound of birds"

In addition to discovering the leafless Meiguanlan, another proud story in Hu Shan's heart is to become a "friend" of the White Oriole family in the Dinghu Mountains.

According to Hu Shan's recollection, at the end of June last year, she and a group of photographers came to a location in Dinghu Mountain to photograph white birds. When the White Oriole family walked over a small bridge, Hu Shan said, "This is really amazing."

"5 to 7 white orioles stand tall and tall, and the male white oriole even knows how to cross his feet and hang down his long tail, showing the 'fairy spirit' of the white oriole in front of the camera." Hu Shan said that when he first met the white bird, the encounter between people and birds was tens of meters apart, in order to let the white bird deepen the memory and trust of the two people, Hu Shan and her husband even wore the same set of clothes and wore the same hat every time they went up the mountain, and after the white bird slowly became familiar with her voice and appearance, the interaction between people and birds came naturally.

"White storks are very friendly wild creatures and recognize people." Hu Shan said that since late September last year, the two of them have become "friends" of the white storks, and as soon as the two appeared, the white birds gathered around in groups and flew over. She and her husband also named one of the white orioles "Crown Hair".

According to the data, the white bird belongs to the national second-level protected wild animals. In 1988, it was selected as the provincial bird of Guangdong Province, advocating green environmental protection. In the Bird Sutra, the white bird is recorded as "like a pheasant and white in color, and stops leisure." Hu Shan told Nandu reporters that she has worked in the forestry post for many years, and The Dinghu Mountain has a high forest coverage rate, surrounded by mountains, deep forests, abundant rainfall, springs and streams, and waterfalls. The vegetation is rich and varied, and the wildlife is rich and diverse. In addition to the flocks of beautiful white egrets that are very ornamental in the mountains, there are other birds, mountain pigs and other animals here.

At present, with the continuous advancement of the construction of ecological civilization, more and more people are willing to go into the mountains and forests and contact with nature. Hu Shan believes that this is a good trend, indicating that the awareness of nature conservation is gradually deeply rooted in the hearts of the people.

As an old forester, Hu Shan also put forward her own suggestions on how to properly get along between man and nature. "Near the water to recognize the fish, near the mountain to know the sound of birds." Even if the animal cannot understand all the languages of the person, it can judge the attitude of the person and identify good and evil from the tone and expression of the person and the body movement. Hu Shan believes that the highest state of harmonious coexistence between man and nature is "seamless trust and closeness.".

However, the influx of people naturally brings a certain disorder, and vicious incidents of poaching wild animals and digging up wild plants also appear from time to time. In this regard, Hu Shan said that all things have spirituality, and all things that naturally belong to mountains and rivers should not be taken away at will, and at the same time, it is hoped that the relevant departments will strengthen supervision.

"Many organisms cannot continue to survive without their living environment. The only thing we can do is to let nature take its course and let everything be safe and sound in nature. Hu Shan said.
