Xiayadong Township has a good ecology and dense vegetation, and its territory has a large number of well-preserved primary forests, and the forest coverage rate has reached a staggering 66%.

Overlooked from the winding road leading to the border crossing, the lower Yadong Township is a paradise nestled in the green waters and green mountains. But it's not peaceful here – Indian troops have illegally crossed the border into the Doklam area on the Chinese side, just in Lower Yadong Township.
