On the eve of "July 1st", 179 veteran party members in Changting County were awarded the commemorative medal of "50 Years of Glory in the Party". Through the issuance of commemorative medals, the majority of party members in the county are further encouraged to strengthen their ideals and beliefs, enhance their mission, bravely stand at the head of the tide, only seize the day, and actively show Changting's deeds in the high-quality development of the old revolutionary areas in western Fujian!
Liao Lianyou, a veteran party member of Shuidong Community in Tingzhou Town:
As a veteran party member who joined the party in 1971, I feel honored to receive this commemorative medal of "50 Years of Glory in the Party" today. In the past 50 years, although I have not done anything earth-shattering, "the party is in my heart", I have been studying hard, always strictly demanding myself according to the standards of party membership, maintaining the image of the party all my life, keeping in mind the original intention, adhering to the faith, and adhering to the communist ideal. When I received the certificate and commemorative medal of "50 Years of Glory in the Party" sent to me by the secretary of the village party branch, I felt very happy and proud. I joined the party in June 1972, and joining the party was the most memorable event in my life!
