Chairman Nagao, our first question is this, that is, our country issued the National Vocational Education Reform Implementation Plan in 2019. Then in today's society, the importance of vocational education is becoming more and more prominent. So what kind of help do you think the development of vocational education will help the career planning of contemporary young people?
Gao Fenglin:
Yes, I don't know how this concept of "profession" is defined. But it should be said that all the activities and all the posts in our society are called "occupations." In fact, I think that in this way, we can be divided into research and application, research is also for application, are vocational posts, so how to do a good job of the support and connotation of the occupations of various posts in the development of the country, so this vocational education should be said to be for the development of our country to prepare for the development of our country from the education to support the cognition of such a learning process. This is our research from this previous few years, there are some developed countries his foundation, one is the professional spirit, we can also call the craftsman spirit, the other is a wide range of dual education. In fact, I don't care what kind of a major you are studying, what kind of a degree, including doctorates, postdocs, then you enter the society after basic study, and then learn re-education. Then from theory to practice this dual system of advancement, so I say vocational education it is an educational support necessary for the development of a country. So how to do this vocational education, we grasp all aspects. One of the technological innovation skills to focus on is that we must master the strength of a country that supports national development and is driven by products. It must rely on your products, in the international trading system, in the domestic commodity circulation, his value realization can support the development of regional industry countries. So how to grasp, I said that technological innovation skills are the supporting technologies that we have developed. Yes, then you are mainly talking about the significance of this vocational education for the development of the country. Then we still want to ask you, for example, what are the benefits of the promotion of vocational education for young people's career choices?
Gao Fenglin:

First of all, you must have an in-depth understanding of your profession or profession, and fully understand its connotation and highlights. This is also what I continue to preach at various universities, that our teachers have the obligation to introduce the shining points, highlights, and rich connotations of this major to students. For example, we may encounter some difficulties in the promotion of vocational education. For example, from a conceptual point of view, probably most of the children will still think that my journey is to go to college. Maybe they don't have such a clear understanding of vocational education. So how do you think we should reverse everyone's concept in the promotion of vocational education and make everyone more able to receive vocational education?
Gao Fenglin:
Are we engaged in practical labor or engaged in the grasp of the field, so in our industry there is such a sentence, called scientist dreaming, that is, what kind of you dare to think, what kind of dream you have, called engineers to draw, engineers to draw this dream of scientists out of the blueprint, call the skilled personnel to do work, that is the dream of scientists. Who relies on the engineer's drawings to achieve? Skilled personnel to achieve. In the process of realization, how do we introduce our high-quality products through innovation and creation, integrating these advanced technologies, advanced equipment, and advanced processing methods into them. Therefore, it should be said that our country's development has now reached the stage of high-quality development. So the high quality lies in our entire product launch process. Well, from your point of view, in fact, we can deeply understand the importance of our technical work, which is equivalent to saying that he is the last step we have achieved. For example, we all know that you were named the "Chinese Craftsman of the Year" in 2018, that craftsman spirit, not only reflected in the excellent professional aspects, that can really achieve the big country craftsman, what aspects do you think you need to do to improve? So how do you demand of yourself in life and work?
Gao Fenglin:
My definition of a big country craftsman is that a professional mature mastery and grasp, and is the top in the country, that from the world benchmarking point of view is still at the advanced level, this is the big country craftsman of the manufacturing country is that I am the top in the country, I am compared internationally, I am still at the advanced level, my definition of the big country craftsman is more rigorous. Then talk about craftsman, craftsman these two words I understand in this way, that is, using our Chinese characters to split the word method, "work" on the top of a horizontal for the sky, the bottom of a horizontal for the ground, the middle represents the person, this vertical represents the person, so I said that the top of the sky and the ground is for "work". Each of us must have self-confidence, and the nation must have self-confidence. Only if we want to get it, only if we have the confidence to do things, can we get things done, can we do great things. So people-oriented, this "work" I understand in this way. This "craftsman", you look up the Chinese characters to go here on this pound, but also represents the sharp blade of the tool, so I understand this "craftsman" character called sharp weapon entry is for "craftsman". It further represents all advanced scientific and technological methods, advanced manufacturing equipment innovation and creation process, etc. So this is how I understand the word craftsman. Since the existence of human beings, there has been the concept of craftsmen, and human beings are a large group of craftsmen. Therefore, from his Chinese translation, it is further shown that if you want to do this well, you must think about the doorway to do this well, and this doorway is the difference between people, between industries and industries, and even between countries. It is that we are in some fields, whoever thinks about this door more thoroughly, who occupies the opportunity for development, so how do we understand the word craftsman. The spirit of craftsmanship has been promulgated by our country, but I will understand that it has a characteristic in five aspects. At that first level, we love our posts and dedicate ourselves selflessly from the ideological level, it is useless for us to talk about patriotism, patriotism starts from your love for your post, and doing a good job in your own profession is the greatest patriotism. Why talk about selfless dedication, I said that a country and a nation, its development must accumulate the whole Chinese nation, the whole nation of this country is struggling for it, then it should be said that dedication is the driving force for the development of a country and a nation, otherwise the development of our country will be hindered, this is one of them; Second, from the behavioral level, it is called continuous concentration and pioneering spirit, and it should be said that we also visited developed countries a few years ago. We have some countries that call three generations to do the same thing, generations of the world's top, which is called long-term sustainability; The third level I call the goal-oriented level, the goal-oriented or result-oriented level is called excellence, the pursuit of the ultimate. So this is also the core of the craftsman spirit, that is, the result of what kind of work we do, it must be the biggest and most dedicated investment in my integrity, and the most effective use is that human resources are very scarce. We can grasp every bit of resources and make the most effective use of them, which is from the first three aspects. Then we also have to build from a team, where one's ability is limited. How do we bring the team together, so it is called innovation and passing on the torch. So people have no far-sightedness, people have no great ambitions, light and fluttering, how do we set ambitions, called not forgetting the original heart, and continuing to move forward. So I said the five characteristics of the craftsman spirit, how do we grasp and promote.

Your share is very comprehensive. It was also the first time I had heard such an interpretation of craftsmen, which I found very rare. As far as you said that standing up to the heavens and the earth is for "work", and then there is this sharp weapon for "craftsmen", including the history of mankind that you share with us, there are craftsmen. This really refreshes our understanding of craftsmen. That's one of our book days. So we also know that for you, for example, in an environment like today, what kind of books would you recommend to our young people, and do you think it will help to promote such a craftsmanship in their hearts?
Gao Fenglin:
I've read a lot of this book, but this one represents one side. But I said that one of the books I recently read, that is, it is a series, I think it is more enlightening, that is, the history of technology, the history of technology, the history of human technology, from the ancient times, how we are from the Stone Age, the ancient times, the Stone Age from the number of simple tools to the invention of culture, to the country, to the emergence of various technologies. That's why I say that if you read the History of Technology, it should be said that there will be a deeper understanding and grasp of the general policy of this kind of development in our country.

He's mainly talking about the technological history of our country, or is it?
Gao Fenglin:
The history of human technology, from ancient times to the present, it is with the continuous introduction of human civilization, just now I said the two changes, this side of the transformation of nature, that side to improve the standard of living of human beings themselves, there is the progress of this technology, there is the emergence of this kind of technology. Then the organizational structure of human beings will be further deepened. Because our space academy has a saying that all the spacecraft we orbit around the earth, we call it the first cosmic speed, which is to meet our development and utilization of the earth. Then we orbit the sun, that's around the solar system, which we call the second cosmic velocity. So including our current charcoal fire and so on, this is a development that we want to support the future of our earth's human beings through this kind of exploration and development of our planet. So what is our third cosmic velocity? It's flying in the Milky Way. So how do we continue to explore and understand in the vast universe to support the continuous expansion of our human understanding.

Then you just said that all of our spacecraft orbit the Earth. Then this year we all know that there are a lot of big space events to look forward to. So what we would like to ask you is, for example, as an old astronaut from a space academy, what are your expectations for these launches?
Gao Fenglin:
It should be said that the current development of our country's space flight is actually moving towards this stage of maturity. That local field has entered a state of no man's land, then you say our quantum communication, including our space station, the human life support system we use, suitable for Russia and the United States is not a different means of processing. It should be said that it is more advanced, so the development of this spaceflight of a country, or what we call the development of manned spaceflight. This should be said to indicate the level of science and technology of a country, because I am fortunate to participate in the construction of this aerospace project, and I understand the connotation of this kind of science and technology in them. Science and technology grasp that a complex transformation of the life support system of just one outer space is that there is no oxygen in outer space, and it is all under vacuum conditions. So how to ensure that human life is safe there, including your breathing, your control of this humidity, your various types of human life necessary, this cycle is good, it is good to deal with it. You have to know that in outer space, we must make the most effective use of what we eat and drink.

So you talked about some of their complex system operations. For example, you just said that this is a dream of a scientist, and then the engineer comes to make the drawings, and it is up to you to practice. To be honest, some space systems that are so complex, in the real practice of yours, I know that you are very good at this welding technology, so how do you ensure such aerospace safety through your own technology?
Gao Fenglin:
That should be said that I just talked about benchmarking, which is how we are in the field of manufacturing and technology applications and the world's advanced benchmarking. So now we have some areas, and what I just said has entered no man's land, that is, what mankind has not mastered now, that is, what no one has mastered before. Then through this kind of knowledge practice this process of innovation and creation, so this I said talk about our growth of employees, all kinds of employees also include our scientific and technological personnel, scientific research personnel these four stages. First of all, I said that through hard study and hard work, we must ensure that we can do a good job, and all walks of life are like this; Second, through the addition and answer of knowledge, understand why you can do a good job, all walks of life you do the same, master some hosting skills, some of this time grasp and so on. Then this is the second level; Third, what can be said through careful logical thinking is the truth, and some people talk about it. Gao Fenglin:
Fourth, through extensive verification, it can be written in black and white. So such a cycle, how to mature from a business to such a process of psychological maturity, is business maturity, ideological maturity, psychological maturity. Therefore, I particularly understand this kind of labor force that our central authorities are proposing to build the workforce of the innovative, learning, and skilled types. And further, what kind of makers should be cultivated, what kind of workers should be trained. Therefore, the central authorities have also proposed what kind of workers we want to cultivate, to have ideals, to establish ambitions from an early age, to have ideals and beliefs, to pursue the goals we set, to understand technology, how to understand that you have to learn, to analyze, to innovate, and you must also be able to apply it to the grasp and improvement of practical innovation.
