UAE safety certification requirements are fully implemented! All products are covered

Starting this year, the UAE will carry out comprehensive mandatory control over all information and audio and video products entering the market;

From 1 May 2019, all ITE information products and AV audio and video products entering the UAE must apply for mandatory ECAS certification!!!

1. Valid UAE Industrial/Trade Business License Permit
2. CB reports and certificates (tropical climate conditions if applicable)
3. PID – Product Identity Declaration Product Conformity Declaration (required only for multiple requested models)
4. Includes product labels and a photograph of the country of origin
5. Manual for use in Arabic and English
6. For home appliances (such as air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines and dishwashers, etc.) also need to provide energy efficiency performance reports to apply for EESL
7. The plug section must comply with BS 1363 or BS 546

• ESMA and port customs authorities will take appropriate action against goods that do not have an ECAS certificate of registration.
• Only goods with a valid ECAS registration certificate and a valid ECAS conformity mark can enter the UAE.

• ESMA reserves the right to conduct spot checks on the market, which periodically conducts sampling tests in retail stores or manufacturers' warehouses, and the test results will be used as a basis for the renewal or cancellation of the product registration certificate.
• ESMA also reserves the right to conduct factory inspections at any time to ensure that products fully comply with the requirements.
• The ECAS certificate of registration is valid for one year. The registration needs to be renewed one month before the certificate of registration expires.
