The International Scientific Conference on "Prospects for Reducing Emissions and Treating the Dawaza Gas craters during hydrocarbon development", notified in March 2022, was held in Ashgabat, the capital of Kumanstan, as scheduled on the morning of 23 June. Affected by the epidemic, the conference was held in a combination of online and offline formats. A total of 84 international organizations, well-known enterprises, media and research institutions participated in the meeting.
The Chinese enterprise "Xin Silk Road (Shaanxi) Energy Co., Ltd." participated in the meeting online. The company participated in the online meeting with Yang Lu, chairman and secretary of the party committee, Liu Shengzhong, deputy general manager, Song Yan, deputy general manager, Zhang Jiliang, chief engineer of the Dawaza Geological Disaster Control Project, Zhou Yu'an, deputy chief engineer, Zhang Bingqin, chief expert of Dawaza geological disaster control, and Russian translators and Turkmen translators.
According to the requirements of the meeting, before the meeting, the company has submitted the "Dawaza Geological Disaster Governance Design Plan and Design Drawings" that has been studied for many years to the organizing committee of the conference, hoping to be handed over to the relevant experts for research and approval, and then go to Turkmenistan to extinguish the Dawaza fire, so as to avoid the Dawaza fire pit from continuing to cause harm to the environment. Their Dawaza geological disaster control team, which has been studying for eight years, has a mature plan, and has been suffering from the inability to communicate with Turkmen and delay for many years, taking advantage of the opportunity of the scientific conference held in Ashgabat to make the trip as soon as possible.
