The original soundtrack of "Elden Ring" is full of choruses, but it turns out that the lyrics are not Latin.

Reddit user Magister Organi, a Latino student, has been working on the lyrics used in the game's soundtrack and confirming that the lyrics are actually gibberish, though many fans are looking for hidden meanings.

Instead, the lyrics are computer-generated and tweaked to sound like an ancient language.

Magister Organi's research began with Song of Lament sung by Bat monsters in the game. The lyrics were indeed written in Latin, but they were written by a lyricist who was in charge of only this one.

The student then contacted various music producers working for the game and confirmed that most of the lyrics were meaningless.

For example, Magister Organi analyzed the official lyrics of the Mohg Lord of Blood track. While some words and sounds are similar to Latin, they are gibberish, but only to enhance the dramatic effect of the music.

This news is particularly interesting given that Chinese players translated runes on the beta map before the game was released.

They discovered that the runes were actually words written in the Yi script, which was very rare and used by priests.

It seems that in terms of lyrics and runes, FromSoftware has been inspired by ancient languages, bringing a sense of mystery to the game, even if some of them are incomprehensible or even meaningless.
