Velociraptors into pets? Blue in Jurassic World goes against Jurassic Park logic

Jurassic World 3 continues to portray Blue as a sympathetic character who challenges everything Jurassic Park has to say about the deadly velociraptor.

Velociraptors into pets? Blue in Jurassic World goes against Jurassic Park logic

The Jurassic World film series attempts to portray Blue as a hero and a sympathetic dinosaur character, but this not only goes against the velociraptor we learned from Jurassic Park, but also creates a plot hole in Jurassic World 3. Jurassic World introduces Blue as one of the four velociraptors, trained by Owen Grady, along with the wolves Charlie, Delta, and the Echo. Blue survived the entire Jurassic World trilogy, and she even gave birth to beta, a little velociraptor who was kidnapped in Jurassic World 3 and later rescued by Owen.

The Velociraptor is the ultimate dinosaur villain in Jurassic Park. Tyrannosaurus rexes are a huge and terrifying super predator, while velociraptors are more intelligent and deadly killers. Velociraptors are about the size of humans, they are very intelligent group hunters, they hunt prey not only because they are hungry, sometimes just to release a hunting instinct. Robert Malden, the original administrator of Jurassic Park, warned John Hammond that all velociraps should be wiped out, and he was right. In Jurassic Park: The Lost World, the Velociraptor kills more characters when it reappears. However, in Jurassic World, the film decided to make Blue and her sisters appear more "heroic", and after briefly confronting Owen and accepting the tyrannical Tyrannosaurus Rex as their new enemy, Blue and her companions helped bring down the giant hybrid dinosaur. In Jurassic World 2, Owen returns to Nubra Island to save Bru, whose DNA was used to create the Tyrannosaurus, whose birth once again defines Bru as the most important velociraptor in the entire series.

In Jurassic World 3, Bru and Beta live in the wilderness of the Sierra Nevada, and Beta is kidnapped by mercenaries hired by Dr. Henry Wu and Dr. Louis Douglas, CEO of BioSyn Genetics. Owen "promised" Blue that he would bring Beta back, which was ridiculed by Dr. Ian Malcolm, which he found ridiculous. Of course, Owen did what he said, and he did reunite Beta and Blue at the end of Jurassic World 3. However, the film breaks an important logic, because when Owen chases Beta in Malta and Italy, an emotional Blue who sees humans stealing his own child does not kill anyone he encounters, which makes it difficult for the audience to accept. Even before Beta was kidnapped, Bru must have been hunting all kinds of animals and humans for four years after jurassic World 2's release, especially when Owen wasn't around to stop her.

Owen was able to train Bru and her companions directly and face-to-face in Jurassic World, and there was an "emotional collision" between humans and velociraptors that understood each other, which was a difficult thing to accept. Jurassic World completely reversed the velociraptor's villainous role in the series, making Bruce an "emotional hero," which seems like a good idea, but this illogical plot may not be accepted by audiences. Neither The Blue nor any Velociraptor could be cute or friendly, and they were not a sympathetic biological species. Fortunately, at present, Owen has not forgotten that Blue may kill him at any time, and people like Messy are also full of fear for Blue, which can make the audience agree, which shows how stupid it is to try to weaken the vicious velociraptor and turn it into a cute pet.

At the end of Jurassic World 3, Owen and Blue have a more harmonious "moment", and after he brings Beta back, the Velociraptor seems to be "grateful" to Grady, a scene that, while somewhat heartwarming, is also a very ridiculous logic. Maybe Blue will never kill Owen, but Blue must still be training Beta to hunt down any creature. At the same time, the more Bru bred as a velociraptor, the greater the threat to other people or animals living within its range. Jurassic World 3 ends with the new hope that dinosaurs can coexist on Earth, but the Velociraptor cannot, and Bru has never been, and can never be, a "heroic" dinosaur that can coexist with humans. Don't forget, Jurassic Park's description of velociraptors has always been correct.
