China also has its own "Father's Day" and "Mother's Day", why do we only celebrate "Father's Day" for Americans?
Open the web page to search for Father's Day, the result is invariably the third Sunday in June, this year is June 19. Schools, media, books, and calendars are all advertised and labeled in this way. For a long time I was mistaken for thinking that this festival was also universal.
It is sad that we have only used its symbolic meaning and have no real connotation. When you understand what the special meaning of "Father's Day" and "Mother's Day" in China is, you will know.
According to records, China's "Father's Day" originated in the Republic of China period. On August 6, 1945, the "Declaration" published "The Origin of Father's Day on August 88", which said: In order to commemorate the wives and mothers of soldiers who fell in the European War, the United States initiated the establishment of Mother's Day, and now, China should also initiate the creation of its own Father's Day. Because "Daddy" is pronounced the same as "Eighty-Eight", August 8 is designated as National Father's Day, on which people wear flowers to express their respect and thoughts for their fathers. Moreover, the children wear flowers, the father is alive, the children wear red flowers, the father dies, and the children wear white flowers.

Many countries have their own "Father's Day" and don't choose to use the U.S. date. Russia is the third Sunday of October, South Korea is May 8, Germany is May 31 every year, and so on, all depending on the special events in the country. Mainland Taiwan celebrates "Father's Day" on August 8 every year, which is quite a good inheritance of traditional festivals.
Learning abroad and forgetting our ancestors is our common disease. Look at the mobile phone calendar, all the festivals in the West are clearly marked, and confused with traditional Chinese festivals, you will mistakenly think that it is a traditional festival in China.
Is this a kind of cultural input and "invasion"?
The biggest fear is that people are "used to it.". We are used to "Christmas", accustomed to "Thanksgiving", but often complain that "Spring Festival" is not interesting, complaining that many children do not know who the Dragon Boat Festival is to commemorate? How many people know the origin of the Qingming Festival? I'm afraid there are very few, right?
With the awakening of ideology, especially recently, our whole network has been denouncing the "poisonous teaching materials and poisonous illustrations", which shows that people are very vigilant and angry about this subtle attempt by the West to change the cultural outlook and values of Chinese, and vow to find out the culprits and carry out a decision from the source. I think that's good, only when our own cultural self-confidence is stronger, our spirit will be stronger, our will will be more determined.
Therefore, for those so-called "Western festivals" that come to us, we do not resist, but we cannot over-promote, and we cannot influence and participate in festivals that are higher than those on the mainland. Especially all kinds of businesses, can not only seek benefits and forget social responsibility, we need the spirit of "jingwu" and learn to do something and not to do something. There is also a teaching institution, which has the greatest impact on students, only need to teach children the origin of some foreign festivals, and never in the West will show a wave. Thanksgiving is coming, Mother's Day is also passing, so excessive publicity can only deepen its importance and memory in the minds of students, but it will snub our holiday.
Why was the phrase "the moon abroad is rounder than China" popular in China? It is not yet some people who deliberately guide people's ideological consciousness inside and out. How many people don't even know what it looks like abroad, but why do they put this sentence on their lips and argue with others from time to time? A sentence that, even if it is not a fact, can become a "real fact" if everyone says it. You can simply understand this as "brainwashing", because many people lack the ability to think and judge independently, or at least have little "mana", or are captured, and the most feared thing is to gradually "like" and "identify".
Therefore, I suggest that from the beginning of this textbook rectification as an opportunity, but not limited to this field, at least it should include teaching books, textbooks, publications, works, films, calendars, teaching methods, ideological cognition, etc., comprehensive and without leaving a dead end, sweep all those dirt into the garbage heap, and re-make our representative Chinese figures and stories appear on the stage.
To be confident, you must first understand yourself and identify with yourself. You can't be blindly confident, but you have reason and heart-to-heart confidence. Only when you are confident in your heart can you have light in your eyes.
