"I cheated two women out of money online and I turned myself in." On the afternoon of June 15, a young man walked into the Si'an police station of the Changxing County Public Security Bureau and surrendered himself.
After careful questioning by the police, it was learned that this young man's surname was Wang, and in March and April last year, Wang Mou met the "yatou" through a network platform, and the two talked hotly and gradually developed into "boyfriend and girlfriend".
In order to win the trust of the "yatou", Wang Mou has shaped himself into a boss who does homestays and projects, and has many investment projects, often millions.
During the period, Wang borrowed money from "Yatou" many times on the pretext of "broken business capital chain", "shortage of funds", "social dinner", "outside debts cannot be recovered", etc., from thousands to tens of thousands, and the "Yatou" who was on top of him for a while did not hesitate to borrow online loans for him. In the past year, the "yatou" has transferred a total of more than 110,000 yuan to him before and after. In order to stabilize the "yatou", Wang Promised to repay the money and buy expensive gifts for her, but it was delayed in implementing the actual action.
Because of the debt of more than 110,000 yuan, the overwhelmed "yatou" began to ask Wang for money, but Wang pushed it again and again, and even used the investment project as an excuse to temporarily not get money.
However, the "yatou" was affectionately wrongly paid, and Wang Mou was not "Prince Charming", but a "sea king". After investigation, Wang met a netizen "XiaoYi" on an online platform in August 2021, and after chatting for a month, the two established a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship and borrowed money from "Xiaoyi" for the same reason many times, totaling more than 100,000 yuan before and after.
I thought I could continue to hide the sky and cross the sea, but the paper package could not hold the fire, and seeing that the money was not on the money, the matter was about to be exposed, Wang Mou came to the Si'an Police Station of the Changxing County Public Security Bureau to surrender himself, so there was a scene at the beginning.
According to Wang's account, more than 200,000 yuan defrauded from the premises of "Yatou" and "Xiaoyi" has been used for personal squandering. At present, Wang Mou, who is suspected of fraud, has been released on guarantee pending further investigation by the Changxing police in accordance with the law, and the case is still being further handled.
The fraud method used by Wang Mou is the common "drainage investment fraud" on the Internet. Scammers tend to look for targets on commonly used chat software. Once you make a "friend", you turn to some niche software, pretend to be in the name of love and dating, make up reasons to borrow money, or guide the victim to invest on some seemingly tall online platforms and brush orders part-time.
