Yesterday (June 14) was the 19th "World Blood Donor Day", and the enthusiastic citizens of Matsue came to the district blood station and each blood collection point to donate blood, save lives with blood, and contribute to the cause of unpaid blood donation. It is understood that as of 2 p.m. on the same day, nearly 150 Songjiang citizens participated in unpaid blood donation, raising 157 whole blood and 12 units of platelets.
At 9:00 a.m., many citizens were already waiting for blood donations in the single collection room of the Songjiang District Blood Station. Citizen Ren Jie told Komatsu that a few days ago he made an online appointment for blood donation and found that the nearby blood donation point was about full, and in order to dedicate love on this special day, he specially came from Jinshan to Matsue to donate blood. Insisting on participating in unpaid blood donation for 12 years, Ren Jie's "National Electronic Unpaid Blood Donation Certificate" fully records the love he has dedicated over the years. "No matter where I work and live, I donate blood, and it's become a personal habit." Ren Jie said.
Zhu Jianping, a citizen, is a "regular customer" of the district blood station, and many nurses at the district blood station know him because he has participated in unpaid blood donation for many times. "Last April was my 100th participation in unpaid blood donation." Zhu Jianping said, "I now donate platelets basically every 3 to 4 weeks. "Because of the high physical fitness requirements of donated platelets to the public, Zhu Jianping in order to make the blood quality meet the standard, life is also very self-disciplined, he insists on going to bed early and getting up early, diet and nutrition rules, and maintaining a good physical condition at any time."
In addition, on the same day, the district blood station set up a temporary blood collection point in the Giant Network enterprise, and a total of more than 100 employees participated in unpaid blood donation, including many party members who had donated blood for many years. "This year is the sixth year that enterprises have organized blood donation activities, and enterprises also hope to feed back to society in this way." Luo Chen, deputy secretary of the general branch of the Giant Network Party, said.
