When everyone talks about Zheng Shaoqiu's classic role, will everyone think of the elegant Qianlong in the joke? Is it the handsome xiang shuai in the legend of Chu Liuxiang? Or do you laugh at the yellow sky in the storm? In my mind, the most classic role of Qiu Guan is Ding Crab in "Big Time" and Ding Ye in "Big Time 2 Century Battle", why are they two characters? After all, the connection between the two dramas is a bit paradoxical, but I personally feel that these two dramas still have a lot of story development and continuation.
In "Big Time", Ding Crab is impulsive and self-righteous. Because of the misunderstanding, Fang Jinxin snatched Luo Huiling, beat her into an idiot, and then absconded to Taiwan and killed again. He was arrested in Hong Kong and sentenced to life imprisonment for charges against him by the Fang family. Later, his son took advantage of legal loopholes to help him get out of prison, and because of his good luck, he became rich in the stock market. After that, he gambled with Fang Zhanbo in a stock rise and fall market, and the result was a fiasco with Fang Zhanbo in what was called "Great Miracle Day". In the end, he jumped off a building with his four sons to commit suicide, but luckily did not die, and eventually could not escape the fate of imprisonment; In "The War of the Century", it mainly tells the story of the various fate entanglements between Ding Ye and Fang Xinxia after the "Great Miracle Day", and finally Ding Ye has a great understanding, and Fang Xinxia also put aside his hatred with Ding Ye and joined forces to save the Hong Kong economy.
From the description of the film, we can see a clear timeline, that is, the two dramas have a clear time continuation; From the perspective of the storyline, "Battle of the Century" has many similarities with the plot of "Big Time", such as Fang Xinxia's two confidants with red faces, the relationship between Ding Crab and Fang Zhanbo's father, etc., so I see the role of Ding Ye as a continuation of the role of Ding Crab. Ding Crab in "Big Time", impulsive, self-righteous, and even a little crazy, often has a funny theory of self-talk, but he does not enshrine these "truths" as the norms of being a person, thus bringing disastrous consequences to his family and surrounding relatives and friends, resulting in two generations of feud between the Ding family and the Fang family, and did not unravel the feud at the end of "Big Time", because Ding Crab did not think that he had any mistakes; And in "Battle of the Century", Ding Ye can be called a continuation of Ding Crab, he is no different from Ding Crab in the first part at the beginning of this play, the same self-righteousness, the same impulsive madness, but after various enmity and entanglement with Fang Xinxia (Fang Zhanbo in the first part), he finally realized it thoroughly, repented of his previous sins from the bottom of his heart, the so-called "put down the butcher knife and become a Buddha", changed from the new Ding Ye to Fang Xinxia, asked for Fang Xinxia's understanding, and truly unraveled the feuds expounded in the two plays.
After watching these two dramas, I personally feel that Zheng Shaoqiu's interpretation of the characters is really wonderful, portraying Ding Crab's crazy character of being a man of arrogance and perversion of a basket into three points, and at the same time, he can play the Zen nature of sincere repentance and "putting down the butcher knife and becoming a Buddha" on Ding Ye's body. This role explains for us a philosophy of life: we have only one fate, one heart, no repetition and reincarnation. Only those who have really cried, who are tired of despair, who have been sore in their hearts, and who have repented without words, can this life be considered complete. Everyone has youth, every youth has a story, what you want when you are a child, you want the whole world to know, as if you have already got it; What you want now, I am afraid that others will know, otherwise it is like losing.
