Marselan, native to France, was introduced to China in 2001 and produces wines that have won awards in many competitions at home and abroad. For example, Marselan wines made by Kings International Winery have won awards at the world's four top wine competitions, including the Brussels International Wine Grand Prix in Belgium, the Decanter World Wine Competition in the United Kingdom, the IWSC International Wine and Spirits Competition, and the Berlin Wine Grand Prix.

A unique taste of Marcellan wine
In 1961, Professor Paul Trull of France successfully bred a new variety of wine grapes, Marselan, with Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache, in the small town of Marseland in the Languedoc appellation. The excellent genes of both "parents" give Marselan good qualities: good disease resistance and strong aroma.
In 2001, Marselan was introduced to China for the first time. Practice has proved that this wine grape produced in France is very suitable for the Chinese environment, whether in Hebei, Shanxi, or Ningxia, Gansu, Xinjiang, can be well grown, coupled with its inherent advantages, so that many wineries began to pay attention to this new variety.
In 2010, Kings International Winery began to plant Marselan, and in 2013 established the Marselan development strategy, brewing the first Marselan single tasting in the Jieshishan appellation.

Compared with other wine varieties, Marselan wine fruit aroma prominent, light body, moderate tannin content, deep color, many domestic industry experts after repeated comparative analysis, that marselan hue, fruit aroma, tannin content, flavor are suitable for the taste of Chinese, and can be perfectly matched with a variety of Chinese food. Nowadays, in Many Wine Regions such as Huailai, Penglai and Jieshishan in China, Marselan is widely cultivated. In Hebei, the local government attaches great importance to the development of the wine industry, and has issued the "Technical Regulations for the Cultivation of Marselan Wine Grapes in Jieshishan Appellation, Hebei", "Marselan Wine Standards for Jieshishan Appellation in Hebei", and at the same time, the legislative work of "Regulations on the Protection of Jieshishan Wine Appellation in Qinhuangdao City" has been launched, which has formulated standards and norms for guiding the scientific and benign development of the wine industry in the appellation.

Changli, Hebei, with more than 400 years of viticulture history, is located at 39° north latitude with Bordeaux, France, and is recognized as the golden planting belt of wine grapes. The first "Chinese Wine Marselan Single Garden" certified by the China Wine Association, Kings International Winery, is located in the core area of the wine region under Jieshi Mountain.

Each bottle of Kings Marselan wine takes 3-6 years, goes through 6 important production links, 71 processes, 543 key quality control points, and can be launched after all 541 quality inspection indicators have passed.
In the management of the wine grape base, the winery introduces the Quality Specification for the Cultivation of Chinese Medicinal Materials (GAP) into the management of wine grapes, respects nature, follows the characteristics of the terroir, strictly follows the biological characteristics of wine grapes, and optimizes the formulation of 41 wine grape planting processes and 315 quality control points according to the characteristics of the phenological period, and carries out standardized planting management.
In the winemaking process, the winery conducted matching studies on oak barrels with different baking degrees, different textures and different barrel ages and their barrel storage time according to the characteristics of the original wine style, and established the top oak barrel configuration scheme of exclusive Marselan wine, forming a core technical scheme of accurate matching of Marselan original wine and oak barrels unique to Kings International Winery.

Before filling, the winery will meet the requirements of oak barrel aging Marselan wines, through the typical style established by Kings Winery, the precise directional blending technology of characteristic flavors, perfectly displaying the unique stylistic characteristics of Kings Marselan wines. After blending, it is cold stabilized, weakened and filtered, and finally filled in a pharmaceutical standard 10,000-level purification environment to maximize the rich flavor and typical style of KingsMuthiran wine.
