The African country of Malawi once issued a decree that has made a name for itself – prohibiting citizens from farting in public places. The legislators felt that this was a very indecent and unspecified act, and the penalties for violators were not clearly defined at the time. Such an absurd decree was immediately protested by the people after it was introduced, and finally it was not resolved.
