When it comes to the protection of poplar forests, Wang Xiangbao, a ranger who has experienced 37 years of wind, frost, rain and snow with hu yanglin, has the most say, he has patrolled the poplar forest alone for 18 years, and he has managed the poplar forest with colleagues for 19 years, known as the "living map" in the poplar forest.
Years of work as a forest ranger, Wang Xiangbao has created a number of records in the Luntai County Forestry and Grassland Bureau, one person managed more than 300,000 mu of forest land, worked the longest time in the grass-roots forest management station, and was the only employee who put his home at the management and protection station.
"Through decades of unremitting efforts, the ecological environment of our poplar forest is getting better and better, the tarim rabbit, a national second-level protected animal, can be seen everywhere, the number of wild animals such as red deer, wild boar and yellow sheep has increased sharply, and the vegetation such as poplar, red willow and shuttle trees has become more and more luxuriant, and as a ranger, I am very pleased." Wang Xiangbao said proudly.
Years of meticulous maintenance have made today's Luntai Poplar Forest the "green lung" of the Tarim Basin, and luntai Poplar Forest has also been selected as one of the top ten most beautiful forests in China in the selection activities organized by China National Geographic Magazine.
