Early life
Eva Mendes was born in 1974 in Miami, Florida. His parents were Cuban, and after their parents divorced, Mendes was raised by his mother near Silver Lake in Los Angeles. Her mother worked at the Mann Chinese Theatre and later at an airline, and her father ran a meat distribution business. Mendes has an older sister and a half-brother.
