Therefore, Liu Hulan and the party members called on the common people to actively resist the landlord bullies and sweep away the remnants of feudalism. At an anti-landlord bully conference, Liu Hulan actively spoke and led the people to overthrow the landlord, which won the unanimous approval of the people.
At a young age, Liu Hulan was not only ideologically advanced, but also a capable person, and she often delivered food and made shoes to soldiers on the front line in the rear.
She was honorably made a member of the Communist Party of China in 1946, when she was 14 years old.

In order to preserve the revolutionary forces, the county party committee decided to transfer some of the comrades to the mountains, and the remaining comrades fought the war. When everyone was ready to evacuate, Liu Hulan said loudly: I am the youngest, it is not easy to attract the attention of the enemy, I am familiar with the environment here, and I am the most suitable person to stay in the enemy-occupied area to exchange information.
At Liu Hulan's repeated insistence, the party organization agreed to her request.
During the two-party War of Resistance, Liu Hulan provided the party with a lot of effective intelligence and made no small contribution to the victory of our party.
Shi Peihuai was the reactionary village chief of YunzhouXi Village, and during his tenure of office, he committed misdeeds, persecuted the common people, and also provided intelligence for the Kuomintang. In December 1946, Liu Hulan cooperated with the armed workers to execute him.
Shi Peihuai's death completely touched the Kuomintang, and they wanted to capture Liu Hulan and others at all costs.
They first arrested Shi Wuze, the secretary of the village's former peasant association, and the underground traffic officers Shi Sanhuai and the militiaman Shi Liu'er tortured them severely, hoping to learn about our party from their mouths.
Shi Sanhuai, Shi Liu'er, and others did not torture to extract confessions.
Only Shi Wu had betrayed the information of Liu Hulan and other Communists.

On January 12, 1947, Liu Hulan and others were arrested by the Kuomintang and escorted to the Guanyin Temple in the village.

At the age of 15, she bravely stood in front of the enemy without fear. Here she witnessed how her revolutionary teammates died tragically under the cutters, and she was mentally prepared.
Firm in her faith, she did not ask anything under the knife. The enemy was shocked by the spirit of the little girl in front of him who was calm and not afraid of death.
She was unyielding and said in awe-inspiringly: "Fear of death is not the right communist party, as long as there is a breath of life, we must do it for the people to the end!" ”
Of the six people who were captured together, only Shi Wu survived. Liu Hulan looked at him angrily, and his heart was full of hatred. Shi Wuze was also extremely frightened.
She lay calmly under the knife and sacrificed herself heroically.

Her sacrifice greatly boosted the morale of our party's officers, and it was not long before our party's armed forces seized power in Wenshui County.
In March 1947, Ren Bishi, secretary of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, reported to Chairman Mao the deeds of Liu Hulan's bravery and righteousness, and the chairman was very touched after hearing it, and wrote down 8 big characters of "greatness of life and glory of death" with a stroke of his pen. This is the affirmation and praise of the country's top leaders.
In order to encourage the broad masses of the people to join the ranks of rebelling against the landlords and to bravely resist the rule of the Kuomintang reactionaries. 3 years later, the movie "Liu Hulan" was released nationwide, and the heroine Liu Hulan was known to everyone.
In 1958, the North China Bureau of the Communist Party of China retried Liu Hulan's murder, when Zhang Quanbao, the executioner who killed Liu Hulan, was arrested.
In their confessions, the crime team obtained evidence of Shi Wuze's betrayal of the organization.
