Torreciala Castle, Italy
Originally built in the early Middle Ages, the Torreciala Castle was extensively rebuilt in the mid-15th century and is considered one of the best-preserved castles in the province of Parma. As the Renaissance flourished throughout Italy, the Torre Chara Castle was redesigned and transformed into a fortress consisting of a monumental stone tower and parapet, in which the parapet wall was surrounded by three walls.
The majestic façade of the building is fierce, no doubt to evoke fear in the hearts of all potential enemies. However, torreciala Castle was also the residence built by the owner of the castle, Pierre Maria Rossi, for his beloved lover Bianca Pellegrini. Outside the battlements and inside the heavy walls are a large number of well-preserved frescoes painted to celebrate the love between them. The scenery around the castle is also very romantic: from some places, visitors here can admire both the castle's towers and the peaks of the Apennines.
