Tigers, wolves, bears, wild boars? Count the beasts I met in the Northern Wilderness

author:Red Net

The beasts of the Northern Wilderness have four brothers. The eldest is a tiger; the second is a bear, also known as the "black blind man"; the third is a wolf; the fourth is a wild boar. The latter two, locals sometimes call them "three children" and "four children", as if calling their own children, a little intimate. This order of arrangement is based on its body shape and the impression it gives to the average person. The tiger is the largest, and the impression is "the king of the hundred beasts", so he enjoys the throne of the boss. And so on, decreasing, weakening, forming a leaderboard. Soon after such a arrangement, the locals regretted it. Because in terms of ferocity and threat, it is the exact opposite of this order of arrangement.

The tiger here is the Siberian tiger, also known as the Siberian tiger. It is larger in size, mild in temperament, and generally does not actively attack humans. Because they are invincible in this area, fearless, do not need to fight and fight, there is no shortage of food, there is no need to put on a fierce and vicious look to bite people. It is said that someone in the Northern Wilderness Hunting Team once shot a tiger with a gun, and as a result, this person was arrested and sentenced to prison, and they were already protected in this way. But they are decreasing day by day, as a result of the deteriorating environment in which they inhabit.

In the Mountains, there are many bears. Bears are omnivores and often come down the mountain in autumn to the edge of the farmland and steal brown rice. The unripe bud rice is even sweet and crispy, and the bear knows that it tastes great. In this way, conflicts with people are inevitable. Our company's armed platoon once had a task, that is, to guard the field at night with guns in the autumn and fight bears when they saw them. Bears hibernate in winter, usually in large tree holes deep in the dense forest. People often go into the mountains to cut wood in winter, and from time to time they will disturb their dreams, which will also clash with people. There are also people who like the slap of a bear, or the bile of a bear, and it is conceivable that a bear is hostile to people. It met people on the mountain, and the look in his eyes was fierce, and his expression was tense. As soon as it thinks you've made a "bad" attempt, it pounces on you. So, bears are more threatening than tigers.

There are many wolves in the Northern Wilderness, and they are mainly steppe wolves. Like the steppe wolves of the Mongolian plateau, they are athletic, alert, tough, fierce, witty, and cunning. The difference is that the Mongolian steppe wolves are basically in groups and are good at large group movement warfare; most of the wolves in our northern wilderness are single-handed, lone heroes, and good at fighting guerrillas individually. If you walk in the big meadow, you will see a narrow "wolf road", and at a distance, you will also see the wolf's nest, which is only 2 meters square. But I reckon that this grass nest is their station and villa, their real home, the so-called home with "wife and children hot kiln", should still be a safe and quiet place in the mountains.

If there are many wolves, they will compete with people for food. Especially in winter, they do not hibernate and eat every day. Fresh pork and chicken are their favorites. Pigs and chickens must take from humans. Therefore, in the winter, wild wolves visit the lian district from time to time. Wolves steal pigs best reflect their wisdom. The method is: sneak into the pigsty at night, choose a pig, do not bite to death, but bite the pig's ears with its mouth, and then use the big tail to smoke the pig's ass, and quickly rush to the edge of the pigsty. The pigsty was fenced, and its height was enough to prevent the pig from jumping out. However, under the strong drive of the wolf, the pig was extremely nervous, and with the driving force of the wolf's tail, it suddenly jumped out of the fence with the wolf. Then the wolf "escorted" the pathetic pig back to the wolf's den. If the wolf bites the pig to death as soon as it comes up, it has no way to get the dead pig home, and it can only eat enough on the spot, then the waste will be great.

In the winter of 1969, a wolf broke into the company in broad daylight to steal pigs. It's hungry and crazy. Unexpectedly, the movement was great, and it was discovered. At that time, there was an air force supply brigade in the company, and a unit administrator was nearby, and when the news came, he raised his pistol to hit the wolf, but he did not hit it. Or the crowd went up together and beat the wolf to death with a flat shoulder, a shovel, a long axe, and so on.

After the autumn harvest of 1973, I encountered a wolf once. That day I went to the 16th to measure and prepare for the night shift. It was nearly dusk, and I was alone carrying a ruler back to the station from the dirt road north of the ground. On the north side of the road is barren grass. Halfway down the aisle, the afterglow of my eyes felt something moving on the north side. Turning his head, there was nothing. Go on, still feel that way. I stopped and looked closely, only to find two pointed ears exposed in the grass. If I don't move, so will the ear. I've met wolves.

I continued to walk forward for a while and turned my head to look again. Hey? The ears are gone! I was secretly thankful, looking back, well, it was more than 20 meters behind me, standing, staring at me with cold and calm eyes. It has gray coat, erect ears, a protruding beak, narrow eyes, thick limbs, and a large fluffy tail. Its eyes seemed to glow green in the twilight.

What a beautiful big bad wolf! I put the handle of the ruler close to my neck for protection and kept going. I was really nervous in my heart, and I thought, "Turn the ruler, turn the ruler, today I'll see if you can scare this wolf." "The pole beats the wolf, and the two ends are afraid", I hope this is true. As I walked, I was very alert to the movements behind me, and my mind was rehearsing the action of fighting with the wolf. After a while, I looked back and saw that it was still about 20 meters away from me, and I stopped it. Just like that, until I heard the faint roar of the tractor, and looking back, the wolf was gone, really gone. Wolves are cautious and suspicious. As a last resort, I sang a "empty city plan" with it. It can be seen that the beast that threatened people the most in our area at that time was none other than wolves. A sign should be placed on the side of the road: Be careful, wolves are haunted.

However, listening to the old man of the Northern Wilderness, the most dangerous and vicious beast is actually a wild boar. This is because: wild boars are always in the same hall as the fourth and fifth generations, gathering in the mountains and forests, and every time the whole family goes out, they are brothers, fathers and sons. If encountered, it must be a group charge, encircling and annihilating you, and it is difficult to prevent and dodge. In addition, when the wild boar encounters people, it does not hesitate or be ambiguous, and immediately attacks. This is actually because they are timid and adopt the "first to attack is strong" strategy. But it made the people I met miserable. The boar's fangs were sharp and long; the fur was thick and stiff, almost inaccessible. Such offensive and defensive aspects are difficult to deal with. Wild boar is not a domestic pig, the action is extremely fast, when the group attacks, it is like a gust of wind sweeping in, instantly in front of you, so that you are caught off guard. The ferocity of the wild boar is in the deep mountains and old forests. Out of the mountains, "pigs fall in Pingyang and are bullied by dogs", they have more nests. I have seen wild boars go down the mountain to steal food on the side of the road in the northern wilderness, and individually, they are chased and beaten by people, and they are fleeing.
