It is named after the Eight Immortals - Eight Immortals, so it means "Eight Immortals crossing the sea, each showing divine powers", the Eight Immortals are also known as hydrangeas and hydrangeas. There are also two legends about the eight immortals.
Legend Story One
Legend has it that once the Eight Immortals went to Yaochi to participate in the Peach Party of the Queen Mother's Mother, and came back to pass through the East Sea, alarming the East Sea Dragon King. The nine sons of the Dragon King were ordered to inquire into the sea. Among them, the Seventh Prince of the Dragon King saw that He Xiangu, one of the Eight Immortals, had a beautiful appearance, so he made waves on the sea and took the opportunity to snatch He Xiangu to the Dragon Palace. The other seven great immortals were furious, and each of them raised the magic weapon in their hands, transforming into seven red scaled fire dragons, spewing flames at the surface of the sea, and in an instant, the sea water rolled and boiled. In an instant the sea began to boil.
The East Sea Dragon King felt that the heat was unbearable in the Dragon Palace, and when he heard the deafening noise outside, the Dragon Palace shook even more severely, and after asking for the reason, he angrily rebuked the Seventh Prince, tied him up with his own hands, and asked He Xiangu to sit on the dragon palanquin, carried by the other eight dragons, and ascended to the sea to face the immortals to plead guilt. When the seven immortals saw He Xiangu return safely, the Dragon King personally escorted the seven princes to ask for his sins, so his anger was extinguished, and he expressed his willingness to turn Gange into a jade warrior.
The Dragon King apologized to the Eight Immortals for offering flowers. The eight immortals brought flowers to Shenzhou, the flowers were clustered, like a large hydrangea ball, and sure enough, the flowers were beautiful, colorful, colorful and extraordinary, and the hundred gardens added beautiful scenery. People knew that this flower was brought by the eight immortals, so they affectionately called it "eight immortals".
