Guo Buluo Wanrong was the last empress of the Qing Dynasty and the last empress in Chinese history. Wanrong's life was quite tragic, she was born in a family of officials and eunuchs, her appearance was beautiful, she was an empress, and after her death, her bones were nowhere to be found, and the place of burial was unknown.

In 1920, Wanrong was only 14 years old
On November 13, 1906, the Minister of the Interior, Guo Buluo Rongyuan, was delighted to have a daughter, according to the "Roselle Endowment" "Flying like a surprise, graceful like a dragon." "Named Guo Buluo Wanrong, the word Mu Hong.

WanRong's father, Kwok Boro Rongyuan, was an enlightened man who was then minister of the Interior and had always advocated equality between men and women, believing that girls should be educated on the same level as boys. While teaching her to read and write, play the piano and draw, she also hired Miss Isabel Ingram, an American born in China, as an English teacher.
Grace on the day before the big wedding
In 1922, the 16-year-old was known among the nobility for her dignified appearance, freshness, and painting.
Wan Rong was elected to the palace and became the last empress in the history of the Qing Dynasty, and was elected not because of her beauty and versatility, but at the insistence of Emperor Jin's noble concubines, Puyi was reluctantly circled. Wanrong's status was noble, and she could have lived a happy life, but from the moment she stepped into the palace, she was doomed to a miserable life.
Wan Rong smiled very good
Wanrong's younger brother, Guo Buluo Runqi, recalls: Before she got married, I often saw her silently shed tears in her boudoir. On the day of the wedding, my sister stayed with my mother and cried all the time. I was still young and ignorant, clapping my hands and laughing and shouting: "Sister, grandma (grandma refers to mother) crying!"

In 1912, China's imperial system, which had lasted for more than 2,000 years, came to an end, and the country moved from a monarchy to a republic. However, "after the abdication of the Emperor of the Qing Dynasty, the honorific title remained unbroken, and the Republic of China treated him with the courtesy of foreign monarchs." Therefore, Puyi's wedding was still in accordance with the emperor's wedding etiquette, and on November 30, 1922, Wanrong became the titular empress.

In 1925, Puyi and Wanrong and others moved into Tianjin Zhangyuan. There they spent seven years of happy "civilian" life.
play
Before wanrong became empress, she lived mainly in Tianjin. Therefore, when Wanrong returned to this familiar city, her whole body relaxed. She never cared about political affairs, so she thought about how to play and how to spend boring time. The biggest attraction to Wanrong is of course to go shopping in major department stores, go out to buy things all day, anyway, Puyi pays, squanders, and starts his own happy life.

Puyi also had a group photo of some Japanese nobles
Although life in Tianjin is very happy, Puyi talked about his abnormal husband and wife relationship life in his autobiography, and he admitted that he did not feel the meaning of "wife" at that time, "because my interest is in addition to restoration, or restoration." Puyi in Tianjin had been seeking help from the Japanese side in an attempt to restore it, and Japan also wanted to use Puyi.
Grace donation necklace
In December 1923, WanRong donated 600 yuan to the "Temporary Wowotou Association" in Beijing to help the victims of the disaster, which was praised by all walks of life. In 1931, the abnormal climate caused "the overflow of large and small rivers from the south to the north to the northeast", and the flood was caused nationwide. WanRong donated a string of pearl necklaces to help the victims. The matter was well received by the society, and the Ta Kung Pao reported on the theme of "Mrs. Pu Haoran Donated Pearls for Disaster Relief".
Grace
After the divorce storm between Wenxiu and Puyi in 1931, Puyi pushed all the faults that brought him great shame and humiliation on Wanrong's body, according to Puyi's description in "The First Half of My Life": "Since she (Wanrong) squeezed Wenxiu away, I have become disgusted with her, rarely talk to her, and pay much attention to her things, so I have not heard her own mood, bitterness and wishes from her mouth. I only know that she later contracted a drug (opium) addiction. ”
In March 1932, Puyi and Wanrong
In January 1932, wanrong was tricked by the Japanese to transfer from Tianjin to Dalian and then to Lushun to reunite with Puyi, but at this time Puyi became a puppet at the mercy of the Japanese Kwantung Army. In Changchun, Wanrong obeyed the Japanese arrangements for everything, and her every move was secretly monitored, and she could not even take a step out of the gate. WanRong could not bear the humiliation of the Japanese and decided to flee, but several escapes were unsuccessful. Since then, Wanrong has never found a chance to escape.
After becoming the Emperor of Manchukuo, Puyi and Wanrong, Wanrong dressed very fashionably
Puyi turned a deaf ear to Wanrong and ignored it. At the same time, she was closely monitored and restricted by the Japanese, all of which made Wanrong's body and spirit on the verge of collapse, and she chose to self-destruct rather than die.
Grace in the Manchukuo period
WanRong is more and more indulgent, she is manic and irritable, she is addicted to drugs, and she even has an affair with the guards around Puyi.
Smoking grace
Wanrong began a 10-year life in the cold palace, during which she changed from a beauty to a madman. In 1946, the Japanese surrendered, Puyi fled, and Wanrong was captured. Wanrong died around June 10, 1946 or in late August, in a prison in Yanji, Jilin Province. The burial site is unknown, and there is nowhere to find the bones.
Wanrong's life, somehow described, her life was never controlled by herself.
When Puyi left, he had no time to take all the national treasures with him, and they were hidden in the east house of the Japanese mine chief. Among them, there is a "Map of the Upper River of the Qingming Dynasty". WanRong did not know where to get the news, knowing that Puyi did not take this painting, suddenly got up in spirit, and pulled several female relatives to see this strange painting.
In the flickering candlelight, WanRong watched for more than two hours, and her love flowed in her eyes. At this time, her face showed a cheerful look that had disappeared for more than ten years, and she was so excited with the girl. This night, WanRong fell asleep contentedly.
However, what Wanrong saw that night was probably only a high-imitation version of the "Qingming Upper River Map", and the real thing was actually taken to Shenyang by Puyi, and was lost on the way.
This may be the last happiest time.
