Wen Wu is the first, Wu wu is the second.
Regarding the drawing ability (drawing skills) of cartoonists, different people must have different views.
JUMP once had a ranking of past years (not my own ranking, so I do not accept any criticism about the ranking)

Takeshi Obata, the first place, mentioned that Kohata Ken often had to add a sentence, "It is the master of the person who painted "The Heart of the Ranger Sword"." With the soaring sales of "Chess Soul" at home and abroad, the name began to gradually become familiar to people.
In addition, post the clip of the death of the night god moon in "Death Note", please feel the storyboard and details of Ken Obata.
Ken Obata is more like a pure painter, except that Nobuhiro Kazuki is his direct disciple, and Yusuke Murata, ranked 11 and 12 above, and Kentaro Yabuki, have all studied under him. The 7th Eiichiro Oda was once an assistant to Nobuhiro Tsuki, and according to the rankings, the author of "One Piece" is Ken Obata's apprentice.
Again, Akira Toriyama in second place and Hojoji in fourth place
Both cartoonists, I love very much.
In my memory, "Alare" and "City Hunter" began to watch at the same time, when "Alare" gave me the feeling of a normal comic, cartoon shape and funny plot, which made me fall in love with it.
But when I first saw "City Hunter", it was shocking, Hojo's painting style belongs to the realism school, although there are also many exaggerated plots of gags, but the sense of modernity is strong, the dynamic and texture are perfectly integrated, and you can feel the dynamics in the painting. There's a feeling of watching a live-action movie. What's more, the detective setting and the frequent battle scenes are easy to get the love of boys, and it must be said that hojo's various guns are the most really drawn in the manga I have ever seen.
As for why his status is worse than that of Akira Toriyama, or why is hojoji's popularity not as high as Akira Toriyama?
I think there are three main points
- Akira Toriyama's works are more popular because, simply put, both "Dragon Ball" and "Alare" are both domestic and foreign, and men and women are all eaten by all ages. Although "City Hunter" is also interesting, the age group of reading is limited, and it is more likely to be liked by male readers, and the storyline may be more popular in Asia, Europe and the United States, more adventurous, fighting comics.
- Although some people have commented that Hojoji is the best manga artist in Japan to draw women, the female characters in his writing are not only beautiful and cute, but also the costume decorations are very well depicted, and many of the pictures can even be directly used as illustrations for fashion magazines. But I have to admit that female characters are often difficult to distinguish, the face and body (body) are the same, to be distinguished by clothing or hairstyle, and the shoulder-wide painting style is also easy to be criticized.
- Toriyama tomorrow's wild imagination of his pure blue storyboard use ability, to a certain extent, so that readers ignore his painting skills and composition, in fact, Toriyama Akira is often called the first painting skills by the Japanese, the lines are simple and bright, and the details are full, the color is a must, and the illustrations that Akira Toriyama himself colored are called fine.
Seeing the detail of the turtle fairy driving in the mirror is beyond most comics
The sense of oppression that comes from the picture
As for the number one painting skill in my heart, it is Yuhiko Inoue. And not just because of Slam Dunk Master
It's even more because of the ink-filled "Wanderer Line"
