Tongliao, 18 Oct (China News Network) -- On the 18th, this reporter learned from the Naiman Banner Public Security Bureau in Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, that the sika deer, a state-level protected animal, mistakenly entered the sheep herd of local villagers, causing sheep to be injured. At present, the sika deer has been successfully treated by the police.

On October 15, the Naiman Banner Public Security Bureau received a report from A Mou, a wooden villager in The West Taishan Mountains, that a wild animal resembling a sika deer had been mistakenly found in his flock.

The police quickly rushed to the scene and found that this animal, which resembled a sika deer, collided with the sheep in the sheep pen of A Mou's family and injured two sheep. Due to the timely control of the police, the sheep that were hit were not seriously troubled.

After the police inspection and comparison, it was confirmed that this was a sika deer and belonged to the national first-level protected animal.

According to Ah Mou, this sika deer followed his flock of sheep all the way back to his home, probably because he was hungry in the mountains, and drank water and fed after following him to his home. Although the sika deer had minor scars on its body, it was in good mental condition.

In order to let the sika deer return to nature as soon as possible, the police contacted the local professional deer farm for treatment and foster care, and prepared to release it into the wild when its injuries healed and the conditions for release were available.

It is understood that since the beginning of this year, the Naiman Banner Public Security Bureau has rescued a total of 10 wild animals of various types, including 3 national first-level protected animals, 3 national second-level protected animals, and 4 third-level protected animals. (End)
